+ShawnnyCash get a good chunk of money together along with friends doing the same. Have everybody pool the money together and bring have them bring their computers. Then have everybody work and keep chipping in money to run the place and gg you have a gaming house.

+ShawnnyCash The best way to start a gaming house is to go on ebay and find corporate grade switches and those Dell Optiplex computers on the cheap. Most of them dump these switches as a tax write-off when they upgrade entire datacenters. You can literally find 24 port switches for 20 bucks and Core i5 toasters for under 200. All they need is a discrete video card to get going. Most of these machines are power efficient and good for a high density setup that won't endanger any breakers Using data center and professional grade technologies on the cheap and bringing it to esports is the name of the game.

+ShawnnyCash oh yeah, also recommend dedicating an entire desktop with Intel server grade network cards (not the onboard Realtek nonsense) and Linux to act as a router instead of one of those Linksys frisbees. It will eliminate all lag spikes and keep jitter to less than a few milliseconds. pfSense and m0nowall are probably the best at this, with the former having better hardware support and the latter having better performance. Any old Core 2 Duo is by far more capable than commercial router. If you have a modem-router-wifi all-in-one device you can probably google how to put it in "bridge-mode"
