THANK YOU for this piece. I had Ulthera on my face and my submentum (area under chin) Thankfully, no effect one way or another on my face. Submentum went from looking fine to sagging with “distorted architecture”. A plastic surgeon who used to work for the company that developed Ulthera, not knowing that I had had it done !) , asked if I had. I said “yes, how did you know?” He said that’s what the submentum looks like when it is used on a setting that’s too high. The rest of my neck looks fine and now my neck looks like I’m 70 (I’m 50). I’ve had Skintyte 3 times, first two times it temporarily helped. Doesn’t help anymore. Only thing that would fix it is a neck lift, and a neck lift really needs to be part of at least a mid face facelift because it’s all connected. Jennifer Fick, RN,who was then at epicenter Medspa in San Francisco did the treatment. Ironically, she was one of the best people working there, generally very skilled. She just didn’t have experience with Ulthera. And as another person, commented, this is probably the most painful nonsurgical procedure that there is. I didn’t think I was going to be able to make it through it. I’ve had painful procedures before, but nothing comes close to how horrifically painful this is.

isn't radio frequency waves used for breaking fats in the body how come use it in your face!?
@BellissimavitaАй бұрын
Depends of level of frequency, radio frequency and low penetration depths,is indicated for face lifting coz stimulates collagen production and microcirculation. Ultrasonic Therapy that destroys adipocytes ( fat) has low frequency and it goes deeper with effect of cavitation ( the balls that explodes inside the fat ) .

@@godlove6980 The person I saw went over the lower half of my face and neck 3 times. Each time, the machine increased in intensity. So did the pain. It was like being burned at every zap then punched in the face. My face hurt for 2 weeks. I had to do lamaze breathing to get through it, and she knew if hurt so we took breaks. I did see some results months later, not enough to ever endure it again though. After about 4 months, I started getting tiny bumps on my chin. Lots of tiny pimples, no doubt brought to the surface from the intensity we hit that area with (I had agreed to this).

Ulthera is an EXCELLENT treatment in the hands of the thoroughly trained Medical Professional. Where I get my treatments, the MedPros are trained for 4 times the industry standard. I've had treatments annually ( even though the results last up to 2 years.. I like results to come faster than the speed of aging 😊) and have great results. I am 56 and people guess me for late 30s early 40s. I'll take it! Ultherapy is as good as the MedPro's training. Can it melt facial fat? Sure! If the MedPro is not trained well enough! The device monitor shows the MedPro where to treat and not to treat. If they follow their training, results can be great.

The woman in the before and after picture looks like she lost a lot of body weight. Look at her collar bone area. That is not fat loss from a heat device. That is general body weight loss that could have resulted from anything like excessive workouts, dieting …! Sometimes, women that go on a weight loss journey want to stay on top of their game by going for skin tightening treatments to protect their face from laxity and and looking gaunt. If this was the case here, not only did the face melt from the skin tightening heat device, but it also looked so much worse from the weight loss. This is only my assumption on what I’m seeing in the before and after photo of this lady. I think she’s a beautiful woman. I disagree with the doctors when they say it’s irreversible. Yes, it’s trauma on the face, but She’s a young woman… her face and skin will swing back with time. There are safe home remedies that will speed up the healing process …like micro current treatments that will tone and lift the facial muscles underneath the skin. Adding Red light therapy will be amazing. It’ll allow the skin to produce a lot of collagen underneath to tighten and tone the skin.. Drinking a lot of water, consuming collagen, good skincare, enough sleep will all help.. But you gotta allow the face a lot of time to heal, rejuvenate, and it should swing back with time. If it doesn’t fully recover, then maybe some fillers, bio stimulators, fat transfers are all other options.
