Also - to spot a mimic chest (Mujina) - it has three horizontal gold bars on the front instead of two. Whistle, and it will pop out. It will only ever use one of the nine emotes you have in your initial menu page.

In Nioh the +1, +2, system of upgrading at the blacksmiths worked like this. A +1 and a +1 creates a +2. A +2 and a +2 creates a +3 and so on. So if you take a +1 weapon and soul match it with a +2, you end up with a +2 weapon. Also if you upgrade different types of weapons, say a +1 sword with a +1 axe, you will end up with a +2 sword but it will cost you a lot more gold to do so. So try to not upgrade different weapons or armors to save $ cause it starts to get really expensive the higher up you go. Oh and unless they changed it you can +up your weapons and armor well past +5. In nioh I have some +30 or more on some weapons and armor.

RPG Division I meant “anima charge (Amrita gained) inherited effect, it appeared on some core and I moved it onto corrupted hammer, and it stacks with same effect on current cores. Now even without extraction talisman anima gains is so high, you can spam snake for heals for example, or almost back to back lastboss core spam for bosses

I've been maining the Axe for a while now after grabbing it as my secondary for my stamina gouging Odachi build, but I rarely ever use the buffs. They aren't really "free magic" when they all come with a huge malus attached. They are situationally useful, but I rarely like the trade-offs. Also, you don't need just luck for the smithing texts. In fact, luck is secondary. You need to raise your ITEM DROP as high as possible, which means having it in every slot, and you can get all of the luck you need from your clan bonus, tea sets on the shelves in your hut and luckbringer talisman. Smithing texts are worth it though because you can forge armor that has less requirements than dropped gear.

I hope you know by now but you can Remodel with 2 options to get 2 A scalling on 2 different stats at the same time. Press Triangle for the first remodel option and X for the second. It work on armor too but it seems to give a diminishing return so Increase weight is still the best defense gain.

You forgot to mention that before you could copy the mimic gesture is you should determine if the chest is legit or a mimic. If the chest has 3 bands instead of two, use the whistle gesture and the yokai with the bigass testicles will peek and mimic your character, then you can mimic its gesture. I'm just saying,

Carrying around a spare axe to triple-buff your other weapons is genius, and abusing the Tengen stance-based bonuses is a great thing to keep in your back pocket if you get stuck on a boss.

Just started playing don't know if it's tip but if in you're in your hut in the illustration menu depending on the enemy and the Xs you killed them it will give you info on weakness and immunity for that enemy. also will give K/D stats. Edit: love your channel "you know the fucking drill"

Here's a tip I learned from Nioh 1........don't farm smithing text. It is an absolute waste of time. All of the smithing text drop from a boss. That boss will drop pieces of the gear from the smithing text you are farming. By the time you get to new game and new game plus you are going to be drowning in gold. Soul match the gear the boss dropped up to max level. The only difference is that dropped gear will have slightly higher stat requirements than forged gear. Since you can get stat bonuses for each stat anyway it only makes sense that you put points into those stats regardless. Your build will be slightly less optomized while working your way up to max level but since you will be killing the same bosses over and over again anyway......it is likely you will get the smithing text simply by playing the game. If you do get the smithing text for a particular set then you can always use the money that you will be drowning in to buy a book of reincarnation and respec out of those excess skills if you really want to maximize your damage potential. Enjoy that extra 100 damage when you are foing thousands of damage because you earned it. TLDR.......DONT FARM SMITHING TEXT

Counter tip: DO farm smithing texts...at least for duel missions. Even if you don't get the texts, the amirita gain is extraordinarily efficient if you finish each round with that skill that doubles amirita gain. Really smooths out the grind later on.

Luck doesn't have anything to do with the dropping rate of smiting text Marko. Increase your material rates and you will have a better chance to get one

@@Proxy021 My own experience. I was set up for luck and I wasn't getting any sets and then I changed everything to increase drop rate and use a Kodama bowl and materials drop rate Kodama blessing and things are getting better for me.

@@ferru7060 since it's probably like nioh 1 luck improve the quality of the drop, so you are more likely to drop purple or divine over rare items with more luck, simiting texte are purple so ... and we know that because nioh 1 is on pc and you can see everything with hack, that why some people tell you to go luck and item drop rate

Everyone should go with an AXE BUILD for the first playthrough...It's by far the strongest and since axe scales with stamina u can wear the heavy armour sets to be much more tanky. I never had much luck with other builds and had to restart over many times, telling ya go AXE if u want an easy time.

For me Nioh is better than Dark Souls in the combat and the depth but graphically and level design along with enemy design it fall short of dark souls however I'm all for gameplay and depth over nice looking areas although I'd still say Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne are better overall but Nioh is better than Sekiro and previous souls games imo and that's coming from someone who adored Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1 but when I go back to play them now they havent aged to well..

Maybe it's just me but the graphics in this game look worse than in the first Nioh, and they was pretty bad in the first one. I hate the stupid loot system and the story in this one is just shit but I do enjoy the combat for the most part.
