🇨🇳 ULTIMATE Beef Noodle Breakfast at Restaurant Without A Name!! 🤯(GuangDong, China)

You know that feeling that just hits when you're about to leave a town, the visit was so good you just want a few more hours of street food opportunities... and then THE ONE THING you needed just materializing in front of your eyes?
This is that moment. And the restaurant doesn't even have a name.
(*Needed* whether you knew it or not!!)
Oh man... What a breakfast. Its our final day in this province of GuangZhou, and this is the breakfast that has me dreaming dreams. I'm already counting the days until I can visit again the next time, and for now I'm grinning at everyone and just offering all of the RMB I have left in my wallet for more, More, MORE!
This is the meal that I wish I could take away, and this is still the meal (even many days later) that I'm wishing I could find "something like that! The food, and the whole experience! We need more videos just like that!"
Instead of telling any backstory, because there really isn't one, I will just happily present to you an honest and amazing breakfast. Literally the breakfast that I dreamed of before we even started this China trip, and I am SO glad we got to have it before we left GuangZhou.

Hey Joel and Li, that food looks so 😂mouth watering. Such a great technique to cook noodles. Here in Bali, they only eat instant noodles with lots of MSG. They say it is ok to eat. I'm not so sure. It does come naturally from Kombu seaweed. Probably better to just eat seaweed. I have to go to the big supermarkets in Ubud to buy Italian style noodles that you have to cook until al dente. Fine with me. Much better I assume for nutrition. Are you going to go to the part of China with the tall stone pillars that folks have made videos of? They look awesome! Joel...I'm so glad to see you enjoying this meal so much. That restaurant, being exposed to the outside environment, has a kind of shophouse vibe to it. Not unlike what you might experience at a restaurant in Southeast Asia. Plus, with the food preparation near the street. And, the food...the chern fun, it did look well executed and delicious. Personally, I like when the rice flour noodle is a bit thicker...as it was here. Being thicker gives the chern fun more structural integrity, and it has a better mouthfeel to it. It's less wrinkled, thin, and unforgivingly loose. Plus, when the rice flour noodle is a bit thicker, the textural experience is enhanced. And, of course, eating chern fun is primarily a textural experience.

I love your message, but specifically the word “unforgivingly loose” in terms of texture!!!! Yes! And I think I am gonna have to copy you on that one in an upcoming video… That is just a great description :-) it was for this same reason that I disliked the Thailand Spicy papaya salad, it is very unforgiving for newcomers though the flavor is absolutely magnificent (I didn’t use the word unforgiving though, I just said to friends that “it’s dangerous!”)

Also, the way you say, Southeast Asia, in many ways, I could feel like this is more similar to Southeast Asia than to greater China, or the China we imagine anyways from abroad. Aside from the language, everything is very much easily recognizable, life moves in a similar way. Even the time/social structure is similar with elderly people spending time out and about visiting in the morning restaurants like this mid week, where younger people would all be out of the picture away at work…

Now you can just find Tay Zhuang native menu in expensive restaurants in Quang Trong. But if you have a Tay Zhuang friend in south QuangTay ,you are very welcome with their kindness ,can easily to have the Tay Zhuang local food free everyday in Quang Tay people’s home, even though they don’t know you ,especially Tay Zhuang’s folk music festival in the day 3 March each year. They must raise their own traditional breed chickens, ducks and fish in their orchard instead of going out to buy bad taste food. Steamed Rice Noodle Rolls is a favorite local snack of Tay Zhuang Quang Tay , usually is a snack for breakfast and lunch, dinner traditionally served with Larb(ลาบ) or Yum(ยำ) sour tasty foods. Rice Noodle Rolls in Thai is ก๋วยเตี๋ยวหลอด, traditional tastes are minced pork or minced long beans or minced pickled mustard fill in, eat with sauce Ma Fai south Tay Zhuang ( มะไฟจีนบ้านจ้วง รสชาติคล้ายซอสมะขาม แต่จะหอมกว่า), the tasty same to sauce tamarind.
