you HAVE to try the throwing knives, I can't get enough of it, slightly less powerfull than the double barrels, but no reloading about the invisibility, it looks amazing, I see everyone use it, but I can't get away from the grappeling hook, I've tried the dash, because everyone said it was better than the hook, but I really feel stranded, and I feel like it is gonna be even worth with invisibility, do you have the "selling pitch" to change my mind?

@@kc9928 yeah, you surprise people beacause you are invisible, but you also surprise people when you fall out the sky, and the mobility is in my opinion the best, eventhough it has a cooldown

@@Hibbou. thing is the grapple cant be re-activated over and over for that advantage, the invis lasts most of a fight if allocated correctly. As soon as you grapple you are dead

Use invisibility when you’re either out in the open with no cover or when you’re stalking someone. If you’re running through a building or behind cover then turn it off so that you always have some on reserve and allow it to recharge. You want that reserve for emergency situations where you need to get away. When running away you’ll need to break line of site while your invisible. Turn a corner and the chaser won’t know what direction you took. I use goo grenades and fire for this. Fire to shut down paths and goo to provide cover for getaway or combine them to extend the fire spread

I have only played light my entire time playing this game and I love it! For some reason my failure to master game sense in previous fps games applies perfectly to this game, combjned with my love for movement and fast paced gameplay with low ttk and im going crazy lol. These tips can and will help me in my future tournys 😊

I just started playing 2 days ago and love it. I run cloak and running into places, seeing where people are set up, then getting behind and killing someone before recloaking is so fun. While you can’t take much damage, as long as you choose your fights and use cover, you will do good.

I have learned, and I’m starting to get really good at is if you have to go against a heavy/ medium player you need to hit them from behind or on the side and quickly reposition and hit them again. If you aren’t in a position to do that then avoid the fight altogether

Completely depends on the context of skill level. If all players are equally skilled, MMH is better than LMH. But if that light player is better on average, then i would agree with you.

Ngl light is not even that weak right now. The problem is that gas torrent and traps are too strong right now, so a lot of time we die as collateral for random things that weren’t even meant to kill us. I saw videos of heavies dying to gas while being 1/4 of their hp. That doesn’t sound like a lot but a heavy has more hip than a light by a large margin. Mere gas and torrets and light will be balanced properly.

People saying light is weak are definitely having a skill issue moment. Hit and run tactics on unsuspecting foes with OP weapons and equipment while also ZOOMING across the map carrying the cube wherever it needs to go. The ONLY problem with light isn’t even a light problem so much as gas grenades and some other weaponry being in desperate need of a nerf

Light is weak and I can guarantee you you will never match my level of skill in any shooter game. The fact that light players have to heavily outskill and heavily outplay every single fight to win against a medium and heavy is ridiculous. Stunning mediums from behind and strafing well just for them to hit 4 bullets and you die or a heavy to turn around and rpg u (and miss the rpg) just for the fatass splash to kill u is definitely a skill issue moment and not a balancing error.

Speaking of weapons, pistol has a higher ttk and is more consistent than mp5 it just doesn't have a sight so you should include it. Also dagger is not really a melee weapon as it is all aroud being sneaky with cloak and knowing to when abuse the chaos of the battle or the focus of your opponents on cashout, it also recently got buffed and it performs really well if you really know how to use it and dont just run up to enemy and try to brainlessy backstab or spam light attacks

The shotgun is better if you hit your shots, but if you miss, the mp5, m11, lh1 are all probably better. I think you're seriously underestimating the m11, v9s, and LH1. they're all clearly a tier below, but in the right hands they are every bit as good. they're just harder to use (except the m11, its just a hipfire beast)

Also i'm not so sure about your advice for people who can't aim to use the shotgun. I'm a GM in Voltaic aim training community, and i actually find the shotty much harder to use. If you miss 1 shot, its extremely punishing with the shotgun. Extremely. That's why I think beginners should stick to M11 or MP5. I am not saying the shotgun is hard to use by any means, its just not the defacto easier option. Really depends on playstyle and what you're used to. Most people prefer and are used to tracking weapons...

I was wondering if you could make a general video on: Positioning; how to be useful; how to spot good locations; transitioning; getting and relaying information etc.? I find that a lot of guides are very specific, and that's great when you already have the basics down, but I find that myself and many teammates don't understand where to be, what to do, when to do it - the "git gud" package, but without the "better aim", cause that's just obvious.

I have a lot of success using the clock and shotty with a hit and run style. Float around the skirts of a fight and dive in and dump both shots and keep running even if you don’t get the kill on your target. You dip around a corner and cloak and come right back and hit them again. If you play like a little annoying mosquito then they have to keep paying attention to you which makes them worst off in skirmishes or you get a free double barrel blast into their backs.

I think pistol is on a similiar level as mp5. It has almost the same time to kill but has twice the bullet damage, with only 10 bullets less in the mag, so you can do more with just one magazine. Its a bit worse on distance, so its more situational. Shotgun on the other hand is kind of a hit and run with no possibilty of multikills so its not bettter in every scenario. So basically I think that v9s belongs to those "playable" light weapons. Open for discussion.

I would disagree that stealth is the only viable ability to use, I've gotten lots of success in high plat low diamond with the dash and grappling hook. Especially the dash it is super powerful for chipping opponents from cover and repositioning immediately, I've gotten out of so many situations where I dash to a location inaccessible to most people and instantly create an off-angle with very little downtime

Completely disagree that Cloak is the best, anyone who pays attention can tell where you are with the loud audio cues. Using the vanish grenade doesn’t create any audio cues besides the explosion and makes you completely invisible. In combination with the Dash, this gives you so much more freedom to enter and exit engagements.

Cloak is definitely the best. The dashes are too long cd, and too easy to flick to, invis lets you scout more aggressively and weave in and out of fights because you’re harder to track especially through buildings and multiple elevations. It also lets you get good flanks off in chaotic team fights where you would be spotted otherwise. Taking head on engagements as light with any class besides light is an L if their aim is good. Using cloak to get off angles in fights or set up good spots for glitch/grenade combos is top tier. If you want to just smash people in duels play medium and rock the AK

Audio cues… WHERE. Bro maybe when nobody is shootings heavies make no noise when there is even one person shooting . This games audio is among the worst I’ve ever used and I have a very high end audiophile setup. Directional queue are almost non existent

Can’t tell you how many times fellow lights tried to cloak up on me and I just turn around and smack em. Personally I get way more utility out of the grappling hook. Definitely looking forward to experimenting with melee weapons and the dash ability

If you want a tip from a new player only playing light, stick to cover, play corners, if you have it, cloak and get behind someone, then of course, get out of there after 1 kill and regroup. It is great for picking off alone enemy’s or sowing chaos. I suggest the pistol for this method.
