Thanks Sean for the very descriptive video. I too have been looking at installing a Watts Link and was vacillating between the two. I have a buddy that has the Cortex and he suggested that the adjustability was better with the Cortex as well. So Cortex here I come!

My 2012 Boss came with a Fays2 Watts link. Looking to track at Lime Rock and The Glen summer 2019. Cannot wait to have an opinion on whether it is good or not! Car is my daily as well. Has Steeda springs, Koni yellows, larger sway bars. Rides very firm. Love this channel. Keep the videos coming, please.

Pretty sweet. I can definitely see that they have different audiences. Still going whiteline. Wntire rear end. Just like you had. Its a spirited driven street stang

You temp sensor is at the top. Is the fluid that high? This is really cool stuff, just found this vid.
@SeanMcGuigan

I agree it’s not the best spot but I was using it to judge the general temp I was seeing in the diff housing. This would let me know if I was getting close to needing a diff cooler. Because I am only doing 20min HPDE events the diff never really got close to a high temp. The fluid would be constantly splashing up against the sensor so it is somewhat reading fluid tempts. From what was told to me by some race teams it’s still pretty close to what a submerged sensor would see temp wise.

Did you put a gasket between the cortex cover and the diff housing Ive herd some people dont put a gasket to eliminate any possible movement of the cover Is that the track version correct not the street version If its the track version are you hearing much noise from it

Nice video on the watts link options! I was looking for ways to improve the ride quality (comfort wise) of my 2008 Bullitt, and came across the WhiteLine Watts Link. Away from performance, would you say the Watts Link improved the ride quality of the Mustang?! Thanks!

The one thing I can say was it kept the rear axle from shifting while going over bumps or off camber road surfaces. Just feels more stable and less twitchy

I have BMR watts it changes everything imo

I love mine, but it rubs against the sway bar causing an annoying rattle. Does yours do that too?
@Reecesavage-Alwayswin

@@john14850 No, do you have the BMR sway bar?
@john14850
@john14850 6 жыл бұрын
@@Reecesavage-Alwayswin I'm still using the factory Boss 302 rear bar. I've been hesitant to switch since it's the same size as most other aftermarket sway bars. I'm wondering if the Steeda drop links would fix the problem.
@Reecesavage-Alwayswin
@Reecesavage-Alwayswin 6 жыл бұрын
@@john14850 My advice would be try the steeda drop links first, but if that doesn't work. You will most likely have to get the BMR rear sway bar with the links and all. Because from my experience it works as one complete system BMR just sales the watts link separately. I know the Ford performance and steeda rear sway bar wont work I've tried both

The Cortex is the better one. But not really for a road car. Heim joints throw quite a deal of load into the chassis. And the diff hat. I have seen numerous diff hats broken on Aussie Falcon with the factory watts. Which are all rubber bushed. Most racecar watts though are centre chassis mounted with arms to the diff tubes. If done properly both are perfectly functional. Though chassis mount means less unsprung weight and easier to adjust roll centre
