In this tutorial of the Ultimate Character project, I'll show you how you can set up melee weapon for your character , how you can add combo to your attack and finally how you can make an attack block-able.

Another great tutorial. Perhaps next a character from paragon with magic like Gideon's or the hold, aim and release action of the bow.

I can't Make it work I repeated the video 5 times I followed all the steps exactly the same as shown in this video but still the AI just keeps chasing me and do nothing. please help me

Hello, Sorry to hear about your problem, there's a variable to show debug messages make sure to enable that on your character to get more information, to get familiar with the project it's always good practice to try to duplicate one of the existing characters.

hi, where i can find code responsable for rotating to character? i want to add turn in place for Ai, where i need to start?

Hello, When an AI character has a `Target`, the first sequence node inside : `UltimateCharacter/Blueprints/AI/BehaviorTrees/Samples/Target_BT' sets that target as an actor to focus. so AI character always turns to that target automatically. Also, to remove the target in focus, there's a custom task : `UltimateCharacter/Blueprints/AI/Tasks/BTTask_CharacterFocus' You can see how this task used to remove the target in focus inside: 'UltimateCharacter/Blueprints/AI/BehaviorTrees/Base_BT'

hi, How to make ai hearing player and start chase when player damaged him? i shoot them and thay dont react when i behind them

Hello, Currently this feature is implemented, please check "TakeDamageOverride" inside the "AICharacter_BP" class.

@@AziApps It doesent work and i cant understand why, can you tell how i can add it to event any damage? i bit change system i replaced your damage and health to mine, and now i want to make recognize on damage, i tryed adding a force recognize with bool= true , but it not work, may be i get wrong

If you're overriding a function make sure you're calling the parent function by right click on the function and add call to parent node, also you can follow your damage function by adding a break point and the check where is the problem and why that function is not called...

Hello, You need to slightly modify the "Defender_BT" in "UltimateCharacter/Blueprints/AI/BehaviorTrees/"

Please open “Attacks_Close_BT” from "UltimateCharacter/Blueprints/AI/BehaviorTrees/Samples” and click on the “Move closer to target” then from its menu you can change the Acceptable Radius.

Hello, You can turn on the "Show Debug" option on your AI character to get more info, Also you can open a ticket on azadiapps.com/my-account

Yes, it's possible but not included in this version, the setup can be very simple or complicated, it depends on the project.

AzadiApps thanks for the quick reply! I think having a discord would really increase recognition on this project. Tbh it's underrated and it seems to be an amazing asset. Discord would be useful to help people use assets such as synty models and mixing it with other components (like slowing time) etc
