crazy how in the begining of the show, they were showing people up to 10 properties. Nowadays, it's about 3

They still show people about 10- 12 properties but we only get to see 3 of the best ones.

I have long been fascinated with this program! Having just watched the “new” version, I am still fascinated, but extremely disappointed they have gone to the “new” tv and movie trend to make everything darker. The landscape shots still seem to have a lot of natural light, but interiors and participants faces do not have anywhere near enough light for the viewer to have an understanding of either the properties nor the participants reactions to what they are seeing. Such a shame.

It does kind of stink that they lost the property to a renter when it wasn't up for rent. But if they are worried about using their house as a stepping-stone house that they'll resell in 5 years, they absolutely should have gone for the garment district property. It had everything they wanted but the location, and they'll sell it for 2-3x in 5 years and use the profit to get their dream home.
