As a claw main I can't help but notice that's you haven't mentioned the ability to jump mid combo. You can cancel out of your light combo by jumping at any point which is a great way to go in to your aerial heavy slam quickly if your punish window is ending. Also, didn't see the horizontal spinning slash you get access to whilst tethered to a monster. Pushing to the side on the stick and hitting light attack will see you spin around the outside of the monster, slashing continuously, and is a great way to rack up a load of damage on various parts.

One other here, thought a bit higher skill/practice. If you heavy attack after you land from the finisher, the diving X slash thing, it will let you animation cancel the last few frames. It may work with dodge too, but I have better results personally with heavy attack.

@@SilvanOrion Did a little testing on this last night and the heavy attack animation cancel definitely gets you out of there quicker. Seems to work with any directional input too so can be used to go straight in on a toppled kemono or to gtfo if things are getting rough.

one thing i didnt see you mention which is absolutely key to building the meter and still being mobile. pressing the JUMP button while doing an aerial combo WILL ACT AS A AERIAL DODGE, giving you a few I-frames and reposition you in the air, also resetting your aerial combo, allowing you to stay airborne and build meter much much faster and safer

Grapple Pull Follow Up Attacks > Down / No Imput + Light = Stationary Vertical Spin + Swipe. > Up + Light = Rising Vertical Spin + Stake Stab. > Left / Right + Light = Moving Vertical Spin, rotates around Grapple, + high dmg Slash. > Heavy = Komono Piercing Cyclone + Grapple Finisher at Max (Red Aura) charge. All light Attacks can be combo'd into a Heavy, before the finishing blow, without a Grapple Pull, but the timing is very short for most. Grapple has 3 Aura states, None > Orange Aura > Red Aura, that increases with attacks done after grappling a Komono. Each tier increases Duration and Speed of Grapple Pull attacks for more hits per attack. When Grappled, jumping sends you away from the Komono and in a rising left / Right direction. This has some extreme invincibility frames and can be spammed until your too far above the Grapple point it breaks. If you manage to fly too high, you can stop your fall with either the Glider or Spring Board as they can both be used mid-air. The pancake animation from falling too high makes you invincible, but the crouching mid hight fall animation does not.

You can also combo left / right + light into the heavy attack. Good way to get some extra damage in before the finisher

BTW the special aerial light has 2 attacks. A vertical slash and a horizontal slash based on directional input. Side to side does horizontal spin slash. Forward or backward does vertical spin slash

It is important to note that your close stamina is mainly drained by moving and attacking. So if you are safe, you want to just stand still until you have an opening to attack or need to dodge. I see a lot of players just flying around in circles which is just wasting your gauge and making it harder to hit your ulti.

You forgot to mention one ability when you use the claw and press square + right or left you spin sideway and its huge damage

This weapon and the staff that changes into other weapons seem like the weapons that will be my main. I’m having a blast in this game but I have noticed some of the hits or faints I’ve taken in this game have been really unfair and I hope they do fix this. If I die cause I fucked up that’s fine with me but when fighting a giant pig and I’m behind a tree that the pig can’t knock down and the pig charges and still hits me by phasing through the tree that’s crazy and sucks. The eye frames on the spring box can be hit or miss also sometimes. Maybe the tree phase glitch happened cause I was also have a sound glitch issue but I don’t know right now. One of the things I love about Monster Hunter is I’ve always felt that when I get hot or faint that it was my fault cause I got greedy or missing my dodge and I do hope the WildHeart developers make patches to try to get more what monster Hunter does in that manor. I’m still having a blast playing the game aside from the glitches I’ve had or the unfair things I’ve had happen.

You left some things out. 1 - your fastest way to build power gauge is going to be the light attack off the bounce pads. 2- when I'm claw mode, you can mix those attacks. I find the best damage comes from a light, heavy, heavy combo. 3- on the glider, you can also aim the claw with the light attack. Not just special. 4- if you miss that attack off the glider and you have enough thread, you can actually try again by throwing out another glider in mid air. I find you can also do this to keep your combo going instead of landing.

cant agree with two solely because its cuts off a lot of extra damage. it does do heavy damage but light heavy and light spam until you are ready to finish with a heavy does significantly more

it has a lot of performance issues on pc, and crashes sporadically, and my biggest issue is that it simply does not work with a controller on pc, i use a XBone controller with most of my pc games, but for some reason, it completely breaks in this game, button layouts are always wrong, and changes all the time. and buttons does not do what they say they do etc

I'm not sure how to perform the super, I know it's R2+heavy attack, but it never comes out immediately, I have to input it about three times before it finally happens. Which is fine sometimes because that's a lot of extra damage, but I want to know how to get the super off quickly when I need to.

claw, light, heavy, (horizontal preferably unless you are trying to stay on top of a specific spot) light till gauge is full, heavy to use super after words or simply spam heavy 3 4 times for less damage but easier if you are unable to react quickly in knowing which to use
