Another combo skip is doing a box jump attack and then doing a heavy will put you into the sheath and let you skip the first two hits of the heavy combo

Same with the spring Karakuri, the attack from it also skips to the final combo of the heavy combo, what i've used is unleash the sword chain, into the heavy, into the special and then cancel the end lag of it with the spring and go right into a second heavy combo finisher, that's two loops of the heavy combo finish before the monster can stand up if knocked down or held in place by the harpoon or chain trap.

You forget the move to get you're blade back to his normal form to safe the rest of you're gauge if you have to Its Special attack + circle

If you press special immediately after light or heavy you cancel the first move and skip directly to the special attack. Also, you can use a torch as you slide behind a kemono, using your special attack, to propel yourself towards the enemy hitting them with the flaming slash. Also also, after your sliding special move, you can aim in any direction and utilize the opening of the special combo to redirect and close the gap or get some distance

If you use the stake and attack when youre latched to the kemon you are able to impale it and hold on with it

i think its already a competitor its more advance and polish, both mechanics and gameplay are top notch, also monster mechanics are probably on par with MH... its always good to have competition at least we can have the best future possible

As much as I like it, it has too many resemblances to the game it takes inspiration from. I hope I'll be shown wrong, but I believe that if one wants to play a MonHun, they'll play a MonHun. The differences in gameplay don't seem to be so marked as in Dark Souls VS Nioh.

sling shot = anchor RB+A, then RT+Y (with bar full while tethered.) celestial drag is fun you go so far, across the map. If you hit em with the RT+Y you wont use ur bar you will just do a spin attack (same as the glider.) with okay damage.

You can go right into fade away slash by pressing heavy then immediately press special. No need to wait for heavy to hit. Nice to get behind kemono

I play on pc... But for me near the end of the ult if you spam alternate light and heavy atks without moving from your position your character will not sheath/ be removed from ult. Not very practical but worth it if ya need some extra dps while playing chicken with the kemono😅

As an LS main this obviously looks amazing to me. Though, I'll just wait for MH6 but if this game is at least 1/4 as good as Monster Hunter then that's a good thing. Even if MH is doing really well without a real rival, some competition can never hurt.

Yeah you can cancel it mid gauge and it reserves the amount you didn’t use so you build it back up from there.

For me, I can't just go straight into the heavy attack combo in that special mode. It always does the entire combo first. What am I missing? I press RT+Y and then keep spamming Y. Also tried holding it down. It just never sheathes the katana to immediately follow up with all those hits

How come you didn't mention you can cancel out of the unbound katana state to save the guild? It's special + dodge to cancel the unbound (special katana) state. That's just as important as dealing damage, saving your gauge

Wild Hearts is an interesting concept. I don't mind what I see. But what I think will keep me from playing it is the aesthetic of the game. Like... by looking at the game, I don't feel as if I'll be able to customize my character as cool as you can in Monster Hunter. That said, the more competition in the genre, the better. It's not like God Eater is giving Capcom a run for their money anymore. And I think most people have forgotten about Toukiden from Koei Tecmo.

From what I can tell on the training bear the rapid strikes you do by mashing the “sheathe attack” button are just…really really bad. It takes a ton of time to pull the move off and it does way less dps than just using fury blade spam…am I missing something???

It fills your meter faster than any other moves by a lot. One series of the strong attack draw flurry will nearly get you a full guage.

Big tip that I learned while playing. Just like you can press square to skip to twin-blade slash storm you can also press the special + triangle input to skip to the Iai slash burst. So when you have full meter, and want to get those quick bursts of damage with the chain mode slash burst just do a special+triangle -> slash burst -> special+trial -> slash burst and rinse and repeat.

The reason mh ls is so hated is because you can stagger people you can't stagger teammates in wh. Honestly ls wouldn't be so hated if you couldn't stagger teammates but them again there are some who like that

Nub guide you dont explain how you want and need to keep that gauge fill asap and to stop the transform mode when your to far away or the monster is running away to save some gauge instead of wasting it
