Day 5 was the only day we didn’t book an excursion. It was so fun going with the flow and hanging in the pool while enjoying some cold drinks 🍹 we also did the Aviary last minute. We booked it via cruise ship the night before. I agree it was so worth it and the vantage points were amazing!

Costa Maya is such a great port for that! Being able to relax at the free pool is such a nice option. So glad you enjoyed it and liked the aviary as well. If you were to go back, what would you want to do next time?

My adult son and I have been to Costa Maya a few times and tried the full body massage in port. I think most people are leery of this but it really is a great value. A full body massage for $55 to $65 depending on the massage (I also give them a $20 tip) which is at least half of what you would pay for a massage on board your ship. Well worth it! Try it out next time you are in Costa Maya.

That's great to hear. We were looking at doing this last time, but wee Leary for sure. We did the ruins instead. Maybe, next trip there we can give it a shot. Thanks for the tip! And yes, it is WAY cheaper than on board.

I was going to ask about safety cause you mentioned about "if you're worried about safety" in the beginning but then changed all that at the end! Thank you! Going here in Oct as a solo cruiser and was wondering about wandering about alone outside of the port. Planing on heading down to Mahahual area to check it out! Great vid thank you!!

So glad you liked it. Please watch our 5 scams in Costa Maya video before going to protect yourself before going. It's a decent walk, maybe 2 to 3 miles to the beach, you could rent a gold cart and do that fairly cheap to get there if you don't want to walk it. 😊

Great Video! Very informative. One thing you were absolutely correct on is the Pier there is very long lol I usually try to wait for the shuttle each way when I can. Keep Cruising my Friends!

Yes! It's a really nice perk of the port. The chairs you need to buy a drink (or so they say). But the pools are free! We have a video of the 5 scams to watch out for at this porting coming out this afternoon :) enjoy your trip there.
