I just purchased a '21 on 35's Raptor. Wholeheartedly agree to all your comments. Gas mileage has been surprisingly good. The suspension is incredible. The Raptor looks bold and aggressive yet rides like a pussycat.

I had a 2018 and have a 2022 on order. No only does it get decent mpg but it will happily run on 87 octane. The Raptors just make my Happy.

Living in Southern California, I see Ford Raptors every day. Owning one has been my dream for a long time. This summer, I'm planning on buying a second-generation Raptor - either a 2018 or a 2020 model. Great video. 😎👍

Awesome! I’d try for a 2020 or atleast make sure the cam phasers had been replaced. The prices have come down a good bit so they’re more affordable. Good luck on your search! Definitely let me know what you find!

Just purchased the 21 on 35‘s. Love this truck. We just got it back from getting the sun tech paint protection. Highly recommend this film if you go out and pinstripe it it will heal itself. Also made the paint look much deeper swirl marks disappeared. Waiting to get in rolled in the Raptors school

What did that PPF cost you and what parts of the truck did you put it on if you don't mind my asking. I just got a quote on my Gen 2 to PPF the whole truck for $11,000 out the door with taxes and my jaw hit the floor.

No doubt! Everything is a compromise one way or the other. Could never see us without having a truck. I’m still a car guy and miss the fast cars I’ve owned, but these trucks are something special.

It sure has been. You’d be surprised… they’re fast for what they are, but definitely not the fastest thing out there. Oftentimes it comes down to who’s behind the wheel.

I love the cool factor of this truck. I drive a 2014 f150. I still miss the sports era with the lightning, srt 10 and chevy ss going head to head. Both the trx and raptor are built more for offroad/trail use while both have tremendous horsepower. Sadly the new lightning is just an oversized prius without a motor. I would love to see any of the big 3, or even 4 or 5 build a true sport truck

I loved those older Lightnings! One things for sure… competition between the makers can only help what’s available to the consumer. Sadly, most everything is shifting towards smaller motors, hybrids and all electric. The Hellcat motors are getting the axe next year.

I know I am commenting a year late. Your comment about sporty pickups made me think of the Shelby f150s. If fast pickups is what you like, you might appreciate that one.

@@Kurtiam they are actually built or should I say upgraded about 20 miles from my house. A fellow here in town hauls 3 of them at a time behind an f350. He said he gets to a dealer and 20 guys will be waiting and the truck pretty much goes to the highest bidder.

I really like my Nissan Rogue and the gas mileage is pretty good I average 31mpg best was 36.4mpg it's very comfortable and it isn't a small vehicle

I have one and mine is making some annoying rattling noises. I can’t tell where in the suspension it’s coming from. I took it back to the dealership, of course they said they can hear the noise but can’t pinpoint where it’s coming from. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes it’s on all of the Gen 3’s. Ours also has some rattles that seem to come from the suspension at times. Mostly at low speed. If you check out any of the Raptor groups, many complaints of the same noise.

Right now I drive a 2013 F150 as a daily driver. I'm either going with a Tremor or a Raptor for my next one. I'm leaning towards the Tremor because its not as wide.

Tremor is a nice package! The Raptor isn’t that much wider… had a number of other F-150s over the years. Have thought of getting a Tremor for the wife

Yea comfort is so important. I have a lot of lower back pain and can hardly stand sitting in small cars. We had a Kia Forte up until 2 years ago and it was so painful to ride/drive.

How many miles on your 2019 when you sold? Did you do okay on selling it?

Was around 45K miles. Yea at the time (Sept 2021) I got 65K I believe

Just cam phasers. Truck was in the shop when this one came in. Right time/right place/situation otherwise the 3rd gen wasn't even on my radar. Happened to be 1 of 2 allocations for this dealer for 2021.

My Ram offers 410 HP/ 430TQ and 15 MPG. It's an off road beast, but for every day driving, I'm jealous of your trouble free driving and mileage. I can't go a week without some kind of nanny dash light signaling another repair.

15mpg still isn’t bad for a full sized truck. Sorry about needing the little repairs. Sometimes that just happens. Our last truck wasn’t perfect as it needed some things here/there. This one’s been solid so far.

So wait let me understand this...You claim you're not a "Prius guy" which I don't know why you would mention it, especially if you don't have one, which means you're trying to connect with a particular belief. You're riding around in a hat and a untrimmed beard in a luxury priced truck (loaded f150), but don't buy the TRX because its 10 miles to the gallon..but you're not a Prius guy. Hmmmm. I'm a racer. I always laugh when some guy comes to the track in new leather in a factory car or truck thinking that it's "race ready". I'm not saying that's you please don't overreact, but they have like Gt500's. I have a Mustang GT with a whipple that produces 1000hp that's drivable with BMR racing suspension. 40k for car, 10k in upgrades..and the guy is looking at me like..WTH you have in there? You're not supposed to beat me because you have a GT..and that's when the reality sets in, you've been had. 100k for a pickup for 3 yrs 36k miles vs luxury 4 years 50k warranty is robbery.

I hear you. The reference to a Prius is just because that’s what folks think about when it comes to a daily driver. My in-laws have one… would never own one. The TRX comparison is just in terms of current full sized trucks and the comparison of MPGs. Love the TRX. My non Raptor F-150’s got better mileage. I’m all about the underdog on the track. Used to toy with Dodge/Shelby 2.2/2.5 turbo cars from the 80’s and they surprised a heck of a lot of folks at the track. Haven’t tracked a car since 04’ but it was a heck of a fun time back in the day. I bet your Mustang rips it! Kudos on BMR stuff… they’re pretty underrated in my opinion. Used a ton of their suspension components on my 13’ Mustang.
