Great video, appreciate it! As for the city nodes, FN doesn't have to realize we need City love as they already know that an intentionally put City in the last four nodes as a lazy stop gap against anyone finishing the mode too early. They were surprised by how Minnerva made FTD trivial for many people and don't want that to happen again. I'm sure the worry was that someone would come up with some really clever way to beat their new mode too quickly, so by putting City in last four, they virtually eliminated that possibility. They can sit back and watch now and if it looks like it is too difficult they can release new characters to address that issue.

This is really interesting and I do appreciate your analysis on this game, such as the AIM best team you proposed directly after their rework and which turns out to be 100% accurate later. Regarding the proposed characters I understand it is based on the current availability of characters and will be largely influenced by the RS and I take all your remarks and recommendations as food for thought. But... (there is always a "but") for the Global trait I am a bit sceptical on Storm because she shares the uniques with Ultron and I would prefer a more plausible character. Indeed you mentioned Sinister and I might consider this character instead of Storm for the moment. The City lineup is really interesting and if I can avoid putting more resources into my Defenders I would feel better. Thanks for the great work.

because of the resources required, the rewards for clearing nodes better be astronomical. like 12,000-16000 gold orb fragments per node.

Great vid as always brother. Prolonging and saving your resources on city teams is a good strategy! Hopefully in the next 6-9 months, that'll bring up some more city chars or revamps/changes before we can actually invest these scarce resources in them.

Hey brother. Since you make it clear that these suggested teams are still in development and that others may replace - it might be nice if for each team you had like a guarantee recommendation on one or two characters. I know there may not be a guarantee but at least a current recommendation that hey, some of this may change but more than likely these two characters are going to remain regardless. I mean some of them are obvious like Ultron and MinnErva but if people wanted to start really prepping having some definite choices to start on would be helpful.

We have discussed as time goes buy alternates. For now, if you only wanna use 3 of each, thats harder than you think. If you swap a tech from cosmic to city, you then have to trade something back. We spent a few hours trying to do exactly that. Updates will come buddy so stay tuned

I think you can put 4 tech and 4 bio characters (as the strongest bunch) without the RNG messing up your pulls, you just wait in the war store for tech and bio gear, and in regular store buy everything you get. People dont have enough war credits to buy for every refresh. Thats why they can save only for the most important gear

Thanks for the work you put into this, very helpful! I have a dilemma myself. Was lucky enough to stumble into 6-red* Captain Marvel and Thor. Very nice for Cosmic, BUT if I focus on these two instead of characters that give me more sustain like suggested in the video, I don't know how far all that firepower will get me.

Hey mate, watch the vid and we discuss why certain characters that are absolutely great for these modes had to be swapped out due to not doubling up on bio/tech/mystic/skill/mutant. You can makedifferent swaps for your red stars are better elsewhere for example. Cap being bio was an easy exlusion for now given how many Bio characters have to be in a city team.

I don't wanna double up on Adamantium so dropping Storm to Shield Trooper since he is already T14 as of yesterday (no T13 mini uniques required). As you said not the BEST choice, but anyone else having high RS like me I think investing in him since he doesn't require ANY of those uniques is worth the time. Kinda just there for the "pew pew" as I call it. Thanks for making this video!

I've got my teams planned out pretty much. Mostly based on who I have at 13 already and where I can get the most mixed traits. Like your global team, storm and ultron share uniques and you have 3 mutants that's a rough farm. I think you're cosmic team is ok. But think most people used cosmic toons in ftd and makes most sense using them on dark dimension as well. My global I've got it down to two techs, one mystic, one skill and one mutant. Shuri, ultron, juggs, Phoenix and either fury or security. I'm at a toss up on the last two. I did run most of ftd with just juggs as the tank so I'm leaning towards fury. Cosmic... Again based on who I have at 13 already. Drax. Starlord, minnerva, rocket and yondu (6 RS on him). Not overly fond of using yondu, but I think I can make it work. I could go cap marvel, but then she shares uniques with ultron and if I had enough of those uniques I may opt to do storm instead. City likely be punfenders. But I'm holding off on doing much with that. I don't have the gold or war credits to buy every single thing that may pop up. So overall, for mini uniques I've got a pretty decent mix of traits. Tech is heaviest, but at just 5 it's not bad.

What about captain Marvel for cosmic for damage? I have her at 6 red stars 81k power g13. She hits for insanely high damage for me. Also what about Star Lord to feed energy to minn-erva? I was thinking for cosmic: Captain Marvel, minn-erva, Star Lord, Groot and invisible woman who I'll be unlocking next time her event comes around.

Sounds like a good line-up. I wouldn't worry so much about the mats because it is going to take months anyways and who cares about adding a few weeks or a month if it means you get to bring in your best people.

Mr Sinister would be great for global I believe. If you have him. Especially with his clone ability gives an extra body that could take damage away form your team. I agree taking pheonix regardless of her dying and then not being able to use her next node. The 50 core revive is well worth it. Maybe worst case for the city heroes they could rework defenders again lol, to be more viable and keep up with the new meta

yeah I think phoenix is inevitable. We mentioned Sinister is our back up healer plan but he feels like he really needs high reds to be usable. Too long on cooldowns :(

I think you guys need to consider the limitations on war currency when you make the next draft. I don't see why war currency would be used on skill uniques at all. Just maybe 1 character if you can get enough using gold only. The war currency will run out and why buy skill uniques vs as many tech as possible?

GamingNContext we have and it’s about rng of what shows up. We also have advised taking advantage of the supplies store cheap refreshes instead of standard campaign energy usage for more chances at orange as well

While I understand your 3 of each trait limit, I do think it created some artificially bad situations. Like, Merc Lt over DD or Miss Marvel for the city team. If you had MM it would help Luke survive and add a bit of extra energy. This would allow you to run a SL energy battery for Minnerva. It would put you at 4 bio unless you replaced IW, but I dont expect you would want to do that, so most likely Sif or Loki go away. For global, while I like storm and the xmen synergy I would prefer to run someone like Psylocke for the cleanse, Mageneto for blinds or Pyro for buff stripping.

In the video we say that we agree with you in concept mate. We know there are BETTER teams available and we bvelieve mutants are the weaker spot at the moment. However the time and luck it will take you to farm all of those additional toons, it may severely delay your finishing this mode. Not a bad thing of course. Im looking very much at Pyro myself since i used him in FTD but Ms Marvel is a risky charcter in these game modes. She doesnt have the survivability tools and will die. Which if we had a resser like SS/Strange/Minn would be percect. If i could build 3 teams with all reliable D up, offense down provsion id prefer no tanks at all unless I had a res.

Im confused on what your talking about in regards to using a character that has double traits the requirement is only 5 city 5 global 5 cosmic and no character has 2 of those anyways

O.o He's talking about the Origin trait, not the Area Operations trait. They cover at the start you only want a total of 3 characters from each Origin trait. Just like FTD you don't want to have too many characters with the same Origin trait since that determines what Gear pieces they need, so if you have multiples they all want the same f'ing gear and you're screwed waiting eons to get enough gear for them all. Same way you try not to get duplicates needing the same Superior Unique gear, but with how much they're serving that up it might be less of a concern; though, I haven't watched the whole video yet and not sure if Chew covers that.

I was thinking more towards Luke, JJ, IF, but with Ms Marvel & Spider-Man, you get double taunts so you could relieve pressure of of one who is getting low hp, and then Ms Marvel has self healing, and assists of of 2 other chars, so 3 out of 5 get assists, and then IF can still heal Spidey or Ms Marvel whoever is lowest (but not both). oh and spidey has his special which is totally OP, and gets you def down for 2 turns on 4 ennemies at a time, with an incredibly low cooldown, so you should be able to keep the enemy crew under def down the whole day,; and then a nice stun+slow on ultimate ! For the City nodes of course, what do you think? I bet it screws up the skill/bio/etc ratio though ^^

We had Ms Marvel in our first pass too mate. You hit the nail on the head of course - to do your team we would have to farm extra of a particular material type. That means if you get unlucky your famr is not only more expensive but takes much much longer. Your team on paper is fine but the main issue is MsM survivability. Once the DD goes down from Cage, she is very vulnerable unless she has 6-7 reds. For u7 and DD i dont love taunting characters anymore unless I can ue minnerva as they WILL die :(. Stoopid City teams.... Enjoy the theorycrafting brother - as we said, we are still evaluating and changing over coming weeks as we keep testing different variants

@@AlternerdReality Well I have to say the more I think about your current lineup for City - the more I see the value, Punisher is assisting all the time on everything everyone else does, and everyone spends their time with offense up & speed up, thanks to all the energy flying around ^^, so heals & def up comes faster too, which is very very nice ! Anyway for now your teams are mainly based on picking the best possible chars but also minimizing the farming of each G13 item by having an almost equal split of each category, but I want to ask you about the Superior Uniques, because I based my current top 5s on these originally (which i might see now being the wrong way to look at it) : did you consider the Uniques to be a bottleneck in your teams before the G13 items at some point ? how many of the same Uniques is starting to be too much of the same within your paradigm?

Ryan Hoffmann review the total gear needed for Ultron, Fury, Minn, Phoenix, etc. Count the number of SBCs and basic catalysts needed. My estimate is a single entry (not necessarily these 15) will require around 9,000 SBCs and a total of 10,000 other catalysts (around 2k of each). What’s your inventory? Use the war store to purchase SBCs as they are cheap at 90 credits each. Use Supply store to buy all other gear.... including regular gear. You will want it eventually. Each Tech toon will require between 120-160 Unstable Molecules (spike balls), 60-80 laser torches, 36-58 charged particles (white orbs). Now multiply that by 3 Tech toons as described and you will need a lot of basic gear, especially that first one. Find out what it is and buy every instance you see. Along with every catalyst.

Meanwhile we dont even have sif in game and 95% (if not more) of community has hela on 2-3*. Overall, nice analysis of data, but cosmic team will be carried by miNNerva most of the time :|

it will be slow but can work. I dont love Marauders in this game mode if im honest , only caveat would be if you had 6-7 red star sinister in which case I would say heck yeah. If sinister Id still go xmen with him as Mystique and Sabre still relatiely weak vs Xmen toons

Uniques took 4 months for ftd this will take years. Not too mention the new orange gear that's unfarmable 7 star minnerva sif hela. Yah this will take years Ultron won't even guarantee a win. Mine is lvl 74 g13 all oranges and he can get wrecked in ult7, dd3 is much harder. And I dont think his bots will be able to survive as much

oh bro me too, in fact thats a big part of my Techwing /Helavision u7 teams. The problem is you would then be using 5 tech characters and would take much longer to get them in. Its a better team for sure, but its going to take a much larger farm and Ultron already makes the Tech farm the worst just with 3

I'm sure most people are going to try to piggyback off of that and use those characters since they are already gear 13. I use that same city team in gamma, Merc lt 6 red T12 ,if 5 red T12 jj 5 red T12 Luke 4 red T12 pun 4 red T12 350k and they can't get threw the middle Lane boss node in gamma. So I no it's not gonna work in dd3 good at all. Oh well hay

I don’t believe that even whales will get through Global in less than 6 months. It’s just far too much gear. A squad of 15 toons (already at GT13) will require around of 9,000 SBCs and 2,000 of each catalyst. Then it’s hundreds of existing parts, including 500 Unstable Molecules, and similar number of DNA, Isomères, Secret Intel. One gear for each trait takes a ton, the others take a moderate amount.

No sir. As you will see in our guidelines, to minimise extra gear farm of one type, we had to use 3 of each trait. Vision i certainly a good toon but you would have to use another SKill character somewhere else. Fun fact - the only cosmic skill character in the game is Gamora ;) Hence the limited choices

I agree with your Cosmic and City takes but I disagree with your Global team. You have Phoenix on this team, you will beat the nodes by attrition since just like Minnerva she does % based damage. The materials to spend on Ultron, NF, Colossus and Storm/Beast are just too high. I think Scientist Supreme and AIM Researcher are much more economical options. Also my man SHIELD Trooper with his 0 mini-unique requirement. I'm approaching this with the idea that Phoenix should be able to beat those nodes no matter what so I don't care how good the other characters on the team are.

Im a big scientist supreme fan and am still trying to find better ways to get her in. Youre right that up gront on paper, the characters you mention are much much lower initial cost per character. But you have windows of weakness with that setup, namely in between the flips for SS. IF you lose the Phoenix early and SS cant get off the res, you could be in trouble. With your team you will be in DD3 before me for sure thanks to trooper haha. I said in the vid I also believe global will be the team to change most between now and then due to mutants all being global (except that pesky cable) ifyou dont want to double farm on same trait gear

If we compare on a time cost, the time spent to acquire the materials for the more expensive team that may one-shot the nodes is certainly much longer compared to the time of gathering the materials for the economical team and brute forcing your way through the first four nodes over a week or two.
