Oh my god ! Flabbergasted Hey Philip , I'm so stunned, the way you did all these questions , It took me whole day to gulp everything . I was only wishing to have the power you have . You were calm and did it so easily as if it was a piece of cake , oh god please grant me that power too (finger crossed) haha I know you are a teacher and teaches are cool dudes yet you are on another level , I just wanted to state that YOU THE BEST I learnt lots of things here . Finished the 5th playlist , YAY! I realised that the data Interpretation part was really tough for me and everything else was so lovely as you taught in really easy way. You won't believe but I solved all the questions on my own when you suggested to pause and play (expect this data interpretation one hehe) I guess your introduction part and a question then boom! confidence flows in (fire emoji) THANK YOU SO MUCH (bow)

Number 3 (about the movies) had a simpler solution - just calculate how many people saw more than 12 and how many saw less than 11 - subtract from 130 and voila - 10 are left.

Note to Philip! at 45:27 there's a proper way to solve it: Min possible sales for shelf 5 -> 300 - (shelf 1 + shelf 2 + maximum of shelf 3&4) 300 - [75 + 50 + (50+50)] = 75 Max possible sales for shelf 5 -> 300 - (shelf 1 + shelf 2 + minimum of shelf 3&4) 300 - [75 + 50 + (75)] = 100 Considering the extremes, the answer must be between 75 and 100 which leaves us answer C !! Fun Fact: You actually taught me this in the quant comparison question, so, thank you!

Q5 (% TV Units Sold) can also be done as follows: T sold 90%, R sold 50%. So, logically, 90 * X = 50. You can then either plug numbers in or solve the equation. I just plugged numbers in, saying in my head "90% times what will give me 50%?". Answered in ~15seconds from the start. You save a lot of time since you're looking at much less info.

For Q18, I setup the inequality for shelf 3+4 and used it to determine the range for shelf 5. Your speed on this question really comes down to how quickly you can digest the equation, regardless of whether your method of solving. Q18. Bakery C = $300. Shelf 1: 1/4. Shelf 2: 1/4*2/3=1/6. 1/4 < Shelf 3+4 < 1/3. Now you can just put in the values to get the remaining range. 300 - 75 - 50 - range of 50 to 100 75 < shelf 5 < 100 If you want an inequality for shelf 5, you can use LCM Which will result in 1/4 < shelf 5 < 1/3 === 75 < shelf 5 < 100

With the movies bar graph question, would it make sense to assume that the 11-12 movies are common to 11-15 and 7-12 groups. So the difference between these 2 gives us the number of the 11-12 group.

Can someone help out! I do not understand the first question so much. First of all, what is a boxplot? Secondly, how am I supposed to know that the lines that form the boxes are the 3 quartiles? I understand finding quartiles and interquartiles but this question makes it confusing for me. Also I do not understand how Philip answered question B. Philip, you’re a great teacher and I admire your kindness to take your time to teach us. Please help thoroughly understand these questions. Thanks and God bless

The middle line in the box is the median which is Q2. Where the box ends is Q3 and where the box starts is Q1 .

I'm confused on the "really easy" one. You rounded 2.83 to 2.5 and not 3. The answer given in the box below was just "2.83." Why would this round down and not up? 2.83 is closer to 3 than 2.5.
@santhoshj68542 жыл бұрын
i was wondering the same.. it would make sense to round it to 3 since that's closer, so yeah i am sure 3 would be the answer in that case.
