Dire Maul East is one of the best gold makers in the game, and whilst a bit RNG dependant, it is doable for any class with a ranged DPS spec solo at decent efficiency - let me show you how.

Few bits to add just for the sake of clarity. I would recommend minimum 200 + spellpower 3k+ hp, will of course be harder to learn like this, mana is different for each class so I can't advise accurately on that stat. You should at least have a few prebis bits ideally. As for hunters some decent blues and the AV crossbow should do. Engineering isn't necessary, you only need to do about 300 damage in an aoe to kill imps on Alzzin when they are stacked on the Thornling, its just a consistent method available for everyone. The thornling does have a 15m CD limiting your runs to that. Invisibility potting is riskier, if you mess up resetting you will die on most classes. You may need to health pot during the fight meaning you are waiting an extra 2mins before you can invis pot. The upside is that it does have a 10m CD and done perfectly will be faster than thornling. 1 mistake and death will lose all of that advantage though. I personally use thornling because it kind of cant go wrong, its a few mins slower, but its just easy and reliable which makes it the better long term option for me - also I do hydrospawn so I have longer runs in general. Even on my fast runs I only have about 1min to wait, which is fine. Hope that helped any additional questions - ill be checking through as well to answer anything else. WillE

Great video. As a cheaper alternative to invisibility potions you can also use swiftness potions to run out of the arena at 50% pull the imps up the ramp and jump down when out of combat.

As a warlock the way i deal with the imps on the last boss is by reset the boss as soon as they spawn, stay out of LOS of the imps until they all group up. Once grouped channel a rain of fire from the reset spot and they should generally die with a few ticks of the aoe. They will just stand there taking damage but and after a few seconds they will heal from similar to when a mob starts to evade, but it usually is only 30% or so of their health, so if you keep casting a AOE on them it should kill them quicker than the evade can heal them. I have pretty good gear so generally i can kill them with 1 rain of fire and at the most it takes 2 casts. This should eliminate the risk of dieing to them and having to use a invisibility potion.

Well this is coming at the right time! I've been slowly learning this run over the last month, changing strategies over time. It's incredibly how many variations there are. I recently tried to learn Zevrim upstairs behind the toppled column, and boy is that frustrating. I'm not sure if it's my ping or just how it is, but avoiding sacrifice is really inconsistent, and the camera angle there makes it very difficult to see where the los is. I love how comprehensive you made this guide, and I'll be posting it in discord for my guildies' benefit.

Cheers! Honestly I cant recommend doing it upstairs really at all, he takes about 40 seconds to run downstairs, during which time you can do stuff to keep yourself occupied. Sometimes you get hit by Sacrifice and you dont even feel like you made a mistake - but the run back will be around 5 mins or so - aka waiting for him to run down 8 times. Thats how i think about it.

Once you get the hang of it upstairs it's much nicer IMO. I do it as a hunter and I can even eat a sacrifice (need decent HP) if I mess up. It's much easier to control the pathing upstairs and you can skip hydro which makes it much faster. As a dot class it would be cake to do it upstairs. You can also skip the stalker on the ramp but that requires FD.

Great video, something to add for the fellow shamans: on the last boss flame shock is your main damage source since he has really high nature ressistance, so keep flame shock up and you have to downrank lightning bolt fishing for clearcasting proc ( I use rank 4 LB ), as for clearcasting you should spend it on frostshocks.

I'm up to 451 Hydrospawn kills, 410 Zevrim and 420 Lethendris kills. I play as herbalism/enchanting and completely skip Alzzin. I DE and herb every node in the dungeon, kill the 3 bosses then reset. Other than that, I've been doing this for the past 3-4 months now. Seen 3 Foror's myself, 2 Krol Blades, a Freezing Band and a few other bits of junk. For myself personally I get the majority of my gold through GEE's. In the past month I've made about 6k gold in pure profit. And I have barely sold half of the stuff I find. Great video.

Nice Guide. You dont need to spend extra cash on the huge venom sacks for the powerful anti venom though. The regular anti venom which you get from the small venom sacks is enough, regardless of the missleading item description which says you can only use it on a low level character/poison. I tested it and it works just fine :)

You can use normal anti-venom from first aid instead, it will remove the poison effect on the last boss good as the powerful one. Great guide tho! Keep em comin' :)

I did this for so many hours and hours. Pro tip. Get a wand that hits hard. The one from drakes in BWL is perfect. Dot and wand if you don't feel safe even trying to cast on the satyr boss. Also if you get sacrificed you can pop your soul stone right when you die follow with hearthstone and get to the wall and you can finish him off. Keep shadow ward up at all times.

The jump onto the pillar by last boss is, by my own experience, only Gnomes that can do without a speed increase cooldown.

Once you get BWL gear DME is pretty trivial to do. in Pre-raid BIS/MC gear mix I could finish it in 20-25 minutes, now with 5/8 T2 and some BWL pieces I'm able to do it easily in 15 minutes. Park my paladin outside for buffs and herb picking and do the mining/solo on my lock. Let me tell you, on a good day, I can easily net 400g in 3-4 hours of farming.

I can confirm that this jump appears to be only possible with a gnome. Took a gnome and a human into DM:E, gnome makes the ledge easy, human can not.

It also works if the imps spawn and u pull them to like in this video to the upper corner before u jump down and start resetting at the caves corner. Works too, forget the pillar !

ItemRack - One of my favorite addons. To get the access bar you just have to alt click the slot you want availiable. That creates the button, then you can move it where you want and lock it.

You can make this run safer by clearing some plants and packs. Some of the jumps are impossible or incredibly difficult as other race than gnome. Expect to practice this run a lot. Don't do it for gold. You will wipe a hundred times before you can run this like Wille, even as gnome.

You can just kill the shadow stalkers as priest. So they arent a problem.

Shadow priests can solo all of the single patrolling/stealthed satyrs with ease. You also don't need to wait for combat to drop on that first ledge before jumping. There's no way for the mobs to get down, so they'll just drop combat naturally as you move towards the Hydrospawn boss.

Then after watching this video everyone and their dog starts doing this, price of Arcane Crystals drop to 5g. It is actually quite clever. Keep people thinking they are 1 step ahead while also not publicly talking about the better money farms. Thus DM E becomes less worth to do and the REAL gold farm stays safe.

You can do it with Blues, it's just harder and longer. Been doing it since the day I hit 60. It took me a couple days of trying to get it down. Just have to be extra careful. I'd suggest stack Stam and use DS/Ruin for the Void Sac health Regen if you don't have tier pieces. Now that I have t2, ToeP, etc it's real easy. Just keep practicing. Oh and I'm over 20 runs now with no arcane crystal, so fml.
