Let me help ALL aspiring warlock farmers out here. The title of the video is 100% click bait - based on your server or not. The drop rates of effectively EVERYTHING is overstated in this video. Often you will do 4-5 runs without seeing an arcane crystal. I'm on my 6th atm where I have had only a large emerald and azerothian diamonds drop (not very high value where I play). The drop rate for essence of water is about what the drop rate for ele fire is from the BRD packs (better than in the world but still ~10%). Couple this with the fact that you effectively NEVER get 25g in vendor drops from this run and pretty much everything in this video is vastly overstated. On average you can expect: ~25 minute runs (unless you want to increase your chance of dying substantially - biggest time sink is the last lasher packs if they roll caster) * 12-15g in vendoring per run (30g/hr) | you can easily get 8-10g a run if you get the greens they drop and no weapons (VERY LIKELY - VERY FEW WEAPONS ON LOOT TABLES) * Arcane Crystal maybe once per 2-3 hours (20g/hr) * 1-2 Felcloth and 1-2 Demonic rune if you're clearing all the packs he is in this video/run (3g/run). If you clear all those packs you're like easily pushing 25-30 min runs. * 1 Essence per 8-10 runs (3g/run) * A STEEP LEARNING CURVE ON THE LAST BOSS. If you don't effectively max range him the RNG gods decide whether you live. Spent 3 days doing the run - it worked out to around 40-50g per hour factoring in the arcane crystals I got. That said, it's infinitely harder than farming Maura which is brainless and doesn't require this memey spec. Doing the run as DS/Ruin is possible but your margin for error (particularly on the last boss) is VERY low. Siphon Lifing imps gives you a lot of wiggle room. It's a great guide on soloing the dungeon, particularly how he manages last boss and determines when to enslave demons (lots of RNG on whether you have to wait a bit watching demons kill each other). But the actual information regarding how much gold you can make is wrong. Not malicious, but definitely wrong.

u can effectively scale runs down to 15min - just requires a few pots, skip leth and bring major hp / greater arcane (1g) on my server - skip adds, pull all 3 and juggle them, if 2 casters, pop 1-2 arcane pots and banish the 2nd - saves u 10min on clearing :) but yes, it is hard and is required to some times - u can reset adds on the pillar, after u killed boss + imps :)

The run isnt a regular run, because his demon never break even after 2 minuts, that's not how it happens in reality And you have to know, only gnome can do what he is doing Oh, and he is very very well geared, without this you will not be able to do it too (he drops below 20% multiple times)

Well with the nodes you can just do a bit of probability: The drop chance of a crystal is about 3%. To not get one ist therefore 97%. AS one node has usually three Swings the prob of getting one crystal is: p = 1 - 0.97^3 = 0.087, so about 9 percent. To get atleast one crystal out of two nodes as in the dungeon it is 16,7%. (Exchange ^3 with ^6)

Rofl, so many salty comments. Create a character on Gehennas and see the AH prices yourself. And also going by drop rates @ classic wowhead is stupid. You have rare mobs there that have 5% chance to drop epics, like 1% of the player base actually logs stuff to wowhead Im sure. After doing lots of dm east myself I feel like first boss drops essence of water more often than not.. People who comment shit are probably just sad because they A) play a warlock themself but constantly wipe here. or B) Spend 50min on a run and feel like the gold is shit. C) the usual normies that wants to drag everyone down. Im certain this run CAN BE UP TO 200g/h, but probably ONLY on Gehennas EU. As of right now I have done this run 135 times. I have gotten 12 essence of waters from the first boss. This guy says you get 1 an hour and also says he can do 3 runs in an hour even though his video is literally 28 minutes long and he calls it a "really clean run" like 3 times. And you have to run back around and reset the instance, as well as go vendor like every 4 or 5 runs. Every single thing guy could exaggerate, he does. He probably clears less than 2 an hour all told, and gets 1 essence every 3 hours on average, as well as 1 arcane crystal every 2-3 hours on average. The farm is good for sure, but I don't understand why every person ever that farms something has to try to impress everyone with a flashy untrue number.

that's waay to optimistic to count everything you mentioned in description as granted. at best you'll get just something of that once in 5 runs. water might drop 1/2, fecloth is 10% and crystals are magical and those prices are quite to high to be counted off. + counting random and unsellable stuff like demonic runes and books with drop rate of >5% as 25g/h? good try Good run though

You are killing 4 bosses: Hydrospawn, Zevrim, Lethtendris and Alzzin Hydrospawn gold per kill average = 1.7g Zevrim gold per kill average = 1.45g Lethendris gold per kill average = 2.05g Alzzin gold per kill average = 3.75g (note that this assumes one item can drop twice, to simplify the math, the error should have little impact on total gold) = 8.95g per run = 19.1g per hour = 67.35 gold per hour + grays, greens, runes etc. Difficult to calculate, but i would say 75g is not too high an estimate. Maybe 80g if you are using runes to craft items for profit. Your 200g per hour claim simply doesn't add up. ''Up to'' is completely meaningless. You could ignore the whole instance, and rush to the last boss in 12-14 minutes and get 3 rich thorium, 4 taps each = 12 taps. Then have all taps roll arcane crystal for 600 gold in 15 minutes = 2400 gold per hour It's not bad gold, don't get me wrong. But 200g an hour is fantasy. I'm farming Dire Maul North, and the one hour in 15 where i get multiple staffs and ring to drop AND i sell them. I can make 200-250g in one particular hour depending on how much gold i get for the items and how fast i can get the customer to the item. But i'm not stupid enough to claim that Dire Maul North is an average 200g per hour, just because i got particularly good luck one hour or one session.

He won't cast Rain of Fire if he's already casting Fireball. After enslaving, immediately right click Fireball to turn it off auto cast.

The goal here is to get shadow damage gear and as much spellpower as possible and avoid the Int build when possible to stack SP. the rotation is Corruption on everything then Agony on everything then Siphon life on off targets as to not take an additional debuff spot. A safer way to clear the imps (but slower) is to immediately banish one after the enslave, and down all the imps, rather than AoE.

The reason being that even though the prices are correct there's no way to actually average 1 Arcane Crystal and 1 Essence of Water per hour on average if you're only doing 2.5 runs/hr. The other sources of money are overstated as well but those two are an absolute lie. Wowhead classic gives Hydrospawn a 13% essence of water drop rate, and after doing about 30 DME runs myself I'd say that's pretty accurate. That means you get one every 7.5 runs or 3 hours at Xn's near-perfect speed with no wipes. Arcane Crystal is 3% chance per tap. There are an average of 2.5 veins (2-3 with an equal distribution) at the end of DME each with an average of 3 taps (2-4 with an equal distribution), meaning 7.5 taps per run or 1 arcane crystal about every 4.5 runs (a little under 2 hours at Xn's near-perfect speed with no wipes)

Them percentages mean absolutely nothing. For example, Mature Blue Sinew is like a .1% drop rate from the WS Dragonkins. Yet, I killed 30 in less than 30min and got 1 to drop. You have to realize that those percentages are mainly vanilla based drop%... so many things are different with Classic.

Much more realistic for most people will be 100g/hr on average. Youre not getting 1 arcane crystal every hour, not a single chance. Youre not even going to get 1 an hour actually farming ONLY thorium out in the open world, let alone doing this. And most peoples servers Waters are 15-20g as well. With really good RNG, certainly sometimes you can get 100-150g/hr with perfect timing and runs getting flawless 2.5 runs/hr on top of it but even with a server where prices are a lot higher than others, its not a consistent 200g/hr farm..at all. Could have just accurately put 100g/hr on average, up to 150g/hr and virtually the same amount of people would be clicking the video without having to clickbait people.

You will NEVER average 1 arcane/hr, sometimes you may get one but the majority of runs and hours you do, you will not get an arcane every hour. So, neither him or anyone with a similar economy will legitimately be making 200g/hr with this on average. Its just deliberately misleading people for clicks, nothing more, nothing less.

@@NahThanksImGood I am doing this right now (I don't kill the 3rd boss and was referencing the video to see if I should add it) and anyway saw your comment. I kill those packs still totally fine, not sure I noticed a difference. If you have to, you can just health funnel them for a few ticks if they are about to die, works for me. My method is use the demon's rain of fire, then agony all 5 imps, corruption all 5 imps and just about now the 2nd rain of fire is ready. All imps die and depending on how smoothly you did the initial pull the demon is either not dead at all, or about to die and needs a funnel as you are pulling aggro anyway and he stops dying. If he does die, the imps die shortly after to your dots anyway, you just lose his drops.

Those nr dont add up at all. How can you get 30 thorium/H when you only clear it once every half an hour and there is maximum 3 veins in every instance. Sad to see an Spe trying to get views and false premisses. Easy Report.

This is probably not possible without siphon life. just do the respec, itll cost you 100g a week but you can make that back in 1-2 hours easy, then the rest of your time spent is all profit. If you dont have much time to play every week you could just go SM/ruin for everything and stick to gold farming in mara, you only lose out on 5% shadow damage compared to DS/ruin but gain nightfall. Mara farming is a lot more comfy than this farm too.
