Brilliant. The use of space and how practical and useable those cabinets are will serve you so well forever. Sometimes people really get too specific with their storage spaces, measuring out a spot for this and that specific item but that is not sustainable. Especially with supplies like these, the items and their sizes and what kind of containment they need changes all the time and what you made will allow you to adjust the inner jigsaw puzzle endlessly. And so easy to use!! I love the pull out boxes. You can SEE everything in there unlike shelves where things constantly get lost to memory. The colour is such a happy colour as well. It’s refreshing. ❤
@Stasichaney3 ай бұрын
I also thought this was such a a good use of space. Were this in my craft space I would organize these by work type so I could pull out the "sewing cabinet" and have it ready to roll to my work space. The top shelf is a good height for work flow!
@solarlass58073 ай бұрын
@Stasichaney I thought the same regarding categorizing carts to activity so that it could be rolled to her work area. That is why was thinking it may have been better to have wheels that pivot on at least one end.

Adding lights inside the cupboard that turn on when you pull out a door would bring this DIY to the next level. There are magnetic lights that turn on when the magnet is pulled apart and turn off as it is put back together so those can work or if you want to add a strip light to the inside that you can turn on or off from the outside that is another option. There are many different ways to bring bright light to this dark corner and I am sure that if anyone can figure it out it would be you. Winter is coming so sunlight will become less available as we enter the deep cold months. Getting a jump on the lighting now will allow you to be a little less bothered by the lack of sunshine outside in the future.
@PikkaBird2 ай бұрын
OMG, I was gonna suggest _exactly_ this solution! It would make it so much easier to locate items in the cupboard, especially in the coming months (or if one were to work late). just make sure not to tuck any lights up under that front strip so it won't be able to cast the light outwards into the open drawer-carts.

Danie. Take off the doors and use some spacers to center them perfectly on your frame. When you achieve a perfect fit, use double sided tape to temporarily stick the door front to your sliding box. Now pull the whole assembly out and use some claps to lock in the position (the double sided tape will move in time) and the scrue the door in the final position. You can leave the dst there. Perfect fit for all the door fronts. You're welcome!
