As a lifelong Double Dragon fan this is awesome to watch. The amount of effort and detail that went into this it's fantastic. I would gladly pay money for this as a full commercial release. Easily one of the best openbor projects out there.

@@robbiewalker2831 You know "cooler" is a subjective term predicated on the individual's personal tastes. But please know this: This is the ONLY mod in existence that builds off of the Super Double Dragon game sprites. NO ONE else is doing this. Let alone to the skill of the dev, Mr.Q. Now there are no end to crappy looking and playing Double Dragon mods that use the DDA sprites as a base. I've seen dozens of them over the years and quite frankly, it makes me like DDA less because of it. So, to answer your question. Yes, it is wrong to say it to someone like me. But what does it matter, I'm just a 4-armed monster that floats on rocks causing explosions and opening hell gates everywhere.

not trying to be a Kiss Butt, but i like the super DD sprites, the fact they're smaller gave me the impression they were capable of more animations, and can have more characters on screen at once, as a kid i loved how their hair would blow around when doing spin kicks, it was like a real martial arts film, and when i found out that we got a half done version and an even more half assed US release with no cutscenes, and with a non existent ending, it broke my heart lol cause the game is so good, but this..Legend and Ultimate are my preferred way of playing Super its hard to go back to the 1992 original after playing these.@@nklopez56

Thanks! The combos that you see here were much much harder to pull off being that the enemies on mission 7 are twice as hard as everywhere else. Not to mention trying to do this strip without losing a life lol!

This is an *infinitely* better _Double Dragon_ game than _Gaiden_ or even _IV._ It seems like companies just want to make _Kunio-Kun_ games these days - which is fine, but it _isn't Double Dragon._ I can't describe what makes _Double Dragon_ what it is very well. But this video project truly that, in my opinion. Yes, it's a bit over-the-top and silly, but that's okay. There's nothing wrong with being a _little_ ridiculous. Modern takes on this game just take it too far. Huge points for going with _Return of Double Dragon_ style for the art, too! That poor game never got the treatment it deserved. (And for remembering Jeff!)

Sorry man, but that's never gonna happen. There are versions of OpenBor that are compatible with Android devices, but I have no idea how to get them to work. I have no interest in handheld stuff and it's rather technical as it is. If you want to play this it's going to have to be on PC or laptop. Perhaps you could just hook it up to your TV to get the big screen experience. Good luck my friend.

Thats because it is Bloodsport my friend! :) Its actually a remake by Pat! I had to do some splicing here and there to make the song last the length of Jeff's run. @@nklopez56 DD games in general, of course. Double Dragon IV (the new one) is one of the few that breaks from this tradition.

@@YourCreepyUncle. hmmm. I see, but, I have to disagree with you on both points here. Mr.Q, the developer of UDD/LOTDD has created a character that includes all the original moves of a dragon character from DD1,2,3, Advance, and IV with ease. Its called the OG Dragon, and no one watches him because he is so boring. The amount of sprite editing and coding done to these SDD models (Billy, Jimmy, Sonny and Jeff) is unlike anything ever seen before in the Openbor scene or in the beat em game community at all. There are thousands of hand edified sprites making hundreds of moves. When this game releases, it will the beat em up game where the characters have more moves than any other beat em up game every made... period. I also don't like/understand the comparison to enemy types. Keep in mind that DD was the FIRST beat em up game. The ideas of differing archetypes for other playable characters (big and slow wrestler, small fast ninja girl) were not thought of yet. Final Fight and Streets of Rage were improvements to the original formula. But in my opinion, thats old hat now. The way to go is to design characters similar to the way fighting game characters are developed. Lots of personality and depth. Special mechanics for each character, stuff like that. I don't like most new beat em up games (River City Girls, Final Vendetta, Mayhem Brawler) because they design their characters in the same old ass mechanics. Sure they are a little better, but its not enough. Not enough at all with everything that has happened with fighting games for the past 20 years or so.

Join the discord server to see small updates here and there. But when you do, don't ask him or make suggestions or anything like that. Its gonna be quite a while longer man. Right now, Mr.Q is busting his butt working on the Chin/Ranzoh character, Final version Duke, the other 2 characters and other final changes to the game. He said he might, MIGHT, release a demo with Chin/Ranzoh in it when he finishes with them. But its unsure. Now I can't tell you a time when the final version will come out. I would speculate about two months minimum... possibly more. I know what he tells me, but these things always end up taking more time to finish than expected. Join the Discord server to keep up with him. But please... DO NOT pester or ask him when the release date its. He has a bit of a hair-trigger temper, so be respectful and patient.

The yellow guy is Sonny Lee, the long lost brother of the Lee twins. He is a TaeKwondo master. All of his moves are kicks... even his punches. The green guy is Jeff, a playable enemy character but with a lot more moves.
