Ultimate Double Dragon Demo 0.850 - Chin Seimei/Ranzoh Mission 7 Extended Gameplay

In this final video before release, I play as Seimei/Ranzoh for quite some time. I do 2 M7A1 one life runs. One with just Seimei and the other with just Ranzoh. Then again using both. After that, I just play through the rest of the mission for fun.
Being that this is just a demo and I don't want to hear a single song for a half hour, I played this in silence and put some extra music behind it. Expect lots of awesome archived tracks from Patricio's extended library of remixes as well as some 3rd party tracks too. Finally, I'm gonna show you guys a little something I've been working on for a very long time. I won't tell you what it is. Its very subtle and I doubt you guys will even notice lol. Enjoy!

When UDD is released It will feature 7 modes. Well, 3 to be more honest but Among the modes is "Arcade" mode. A mode without cinematic and is meant to be made much closer to the original in many ways. One of them being music. One of the arcades moves will be named "Legendary!" That mode will feature all the LOTDD CE edition music! So it will be like re-visiting LOTDD all over again! 😁😁😁

Hahaha! Thank you! I'm glad you like Mr.Q's work. ArcSys owns the DD and Kunio copyrights right now. As far as I see it, I'm not too confident they well be able to live up to the legacy of what this game (DD in general) was. I don't mind River City Girls. For it being "girls". Some people in the discord (including Mr.Q) hate it. The art style is the typical anime tone. And The Double Dragons are portrayed as silly looking goofballs. Look at the original box art of Super Double Dragon and look at Billy and Jimmy according to Wayforward. (Double Dragon Neon) If Double Dragon is to succeed, it CANNOT look like this. They CANNOT look like pussies! They have to look and fight like real martial artists! It was the base inspiration of the game in the first place. ArcSys is a good company with lots of good franchises, I just don't think they are the right people to do Double Dragon again. Time will tell I guess...

@@nklopez56 Double Dragon Neon wasn't that bad. I found that game fully playable and tolerable, even if they went really hammy with the 80's dude-bro feel of it. Thing is, that was intentional. Neon was a letter to the 80's. I agree that Double Dragon should have a grittier and darker entry these days. But "official" developers have gotten more spineless today so they don't dare going down that road. This is also a question about Passion VS Budget. Fan games are usually extremely passionate as seen in these fan works you play. It screams a heavy love for the Double Dragon brand, no doubt. But consider what ArcSys and WayForward must deal with when making their games. They need to pitch all their ideas and get funding for them. I don't think a more "serious tone" Double Dragon is in any cards at all with the more established development houses. Sad, but true. And... Let's just be frank about this. There are worse DD games than Neon. Remember Double Dragon II: Wander of the Dragons on Xbox Live? Now that game was absolute broken trash that should never have had the Double Dragon name. And Double Dragon 4 from ArcSys was just a NES nostalgia-fueled cash grab. Considering what we get now with River City Girls, I am glad those brawlers exist, to be honest. RCG is at a consistent level of quality for beat em ups. I'll end my post with a question: What is your opinion on Fight N' Rage?

@@SplashPhantom When I first saw it years ago, I didn't care much for it. I will say the graphics, character design, UI, and color are absolutely amazing its just animals aren't really my thing. But over time, and after seeing a lot of new age beatemups, I've come to really appreciate what was doing. This game, as well as Jitsu Squad are the only beatemup games that Implement fighting game mechanics into the game. Everyone else is going in a bunch of different dumb directions. I've been wanting to see more of it recently and it's finished form on the PS5. It looks different now and in new commercials than what I remember seeing 6 or 7 years ago. Don't buy too many games these days being that I'm so wrapped up in this project but it would be something I strongly consider now. if I just had the time. But yeah Fight'n Rage Jutsu Squad, and maybe Mayhem Brawler are the only modern beat-em-ups that are considered worthy of my time.

(and his little brother Pat) He has been working on this for almost 13 years now. He is only a few months away from releasing the (first) final version of the game. Then off to UDDXZ (the expansion) and then a Final Fight mod in the same manner as this. Me, well as you have seen in my header, I'm dedicating my channel to solely featuring this game. Mr. Q's been working on this for almost 13 years?!!! It shows in this level of detail and immaculate hit detection, special moves, special effects, sound effects, and everything. I can tell this has been a massive labor of love for this game by him and I am absolutely blown away by his work in doing all this. And thank you so so so so much for featuring this on your channel! I had passed a ton of OpenBOR games over the past few months (I have always been a fan of OpenBor since the first "Beats of Rage" back in the heyday ;) ) and I just found this today and I'm literally crying in joy because this is my most favorite Double Dragon game of all time and the inclusion of so many titles across the board of this game is like a dream come true, like how I first came across Marvel vs. Capcom or Capcom vs. SNK: a literal dream project made real. Still going to be a couple more months. Maybe several more, who knows. You won't need unlimited continues, you, like everyone else, will be able to beat the game without too much struggle. This "boss rush" that you see here is just a demo thing. Its not going to be in the final version. It was just for fun and challenge. I like to play recklessly for style and some of the time I lose a lot of lives. It doesn't mean I can't beat the game. I could do it very very simply. It just wouldn't be very fun to watch or play. So don't think its gonna be too hard to beat. You will be fine.

Ultimate Double Dragon. 😁 This is an OpenBor remake of SDD/ROTDD for the snes. It was made mostly by one man over a period of 15 years. We also got help from Mr. Koji Ogata in making us all the new (old) characters returning like Abobo and Linda as well as a new playable of Semei/Ranzoh! This is an old demo run of my creativity with the demo. The music wasn't part of the game just my choice in the video. Also, the last gauntlet was just part of the demo too. The game is finished now and I'm working on a new "special" video. After that, I will be releasing full playthroughs in the coming months. Hope you sub! 🤞😅🤞

Dude, your game can border on perfection if you choose to do a remake of the 16-bit double Dragon 3 adding 3 more extra missions but keeping the essence of the game. Chin and Ranzou are perfect, I just recommend that you don't take away the originality of the Game by adding audios or voices from other games. Congratulations on the project.

As far as the voices go, the original Chin Seimei and Ranzoh never had voices to begin with, so something is better than nothing. It's a fan game, so it's all about Recycling and reimagining the old into something new and well, this is just the way the developer works. I know I like it.

Hello there. Its simple really you press punch or kick while in the style switch animation and get different chains pending on the combination. There are other combos I can do with just normal moves in conjunction with super moves and KI Combos too. Of course it takes alot of practice, memorization, experimentation as well as deeper knowledge of the games mechanics as well as the moves mechanics. Check the channel front of my page and click onto "Mau Herrera's" page. He is the dev of this awesome project. There is an old movelist for the Grandmasters down there so you can see the moves in order. Give him a sub as well as me please.😁 Check out my other content too. I'm sure you will be entertained.☺ Oh, also forgot to mention. The Grandmasters, (Seimei and Ranzoh) are the absolute toughest characters to master cuz, your playing 2 characters at once and these guys are the only characters in the game to have 3 attack buttons while everyone else has 2. I don't suggest you start the game for the first time trying these guys. Start with Billy, Jimmy, or Jeff.

If this gets made, I think you should rethink the mechanic o the gamer having to recharge the power meter. Rather consider the power meter filling up as the layer lands more hits against enemies. And then maybe have power stones which makes the meter shorter when collected. (Of course make the power stones harder to collect) Just a suggestion. Either than that cool game.

Yup. It took a few revisions, but UDD 3.0 is the final version of the game. ...Buuuut not the last of this little fan franchise though. After the dev makes his first demo of Fight Forever, he will get back to work on UDD. But it won't be UDD, it will be UDD+. The expansion of the original game. So I'm thinking another 2 years tops. As for me, I'm in a tough spot right now but I'm trying to make a new video. Shouldn't take me longer than 2 months. His little brother is a music master and is doing all the awesome music restored. We also got the help of Koji Ogata, the Technos graphics god of the originals including SDD.
