I like the Virus B for its medium highs, the behringer is also good a bit darker; the norlead A1 is not so great raw but mixed integrates very well in the mix.

only the jp8000 gives the deep vibe a winner even before the supersaw. edit; perhaps the behringer deepmind would come close to the good vibe of the jp8000, not sure.

In this case I’d say the D is the most pleasing sounding. I’m sure u could get just that timbre with the NL using 2 slots.

I liked the Model D and JP8000 the best for different reasons

The jp8000 has the dullest sound while model d is the more vibrant, imo.

You like it because it sounds the best. People just think the virus is some kinda beast, cause its called "Virus" and it cost a lot of money back in the day. Granted, I just did accidentally make an Obi stringy/fluty patch on the Virus b that surprised me, as it retained a lot of high end and beautifully modulates in the stereo field, with TUUUNNNS of subtle movement throughout, no chorus used, just the synth itself modulating. I didn't think the Virus could make this kinda sound, because the dummys that designed the virus thought that "analog" meant congested overloud low mids. Which is not analog sound. Analog sound if full frequency, all the way up beyond our hearing. But I digress. In the Renter's vids, consistently I think the Nord sounds better. I had to make the choice back in the day, and I stupidly went with the Virus. HUGE mistake.
