@ProbablyNotLegit10 ай бұрын
Okay so basically bacillus anthracis (anthrax) cannot permeate the skin unless there are cuts, scratches, or lesions via which it can enter the bloodstream (cutaneous anthrax). Additionally, eating contaminated meat can cause gastrointestinal anthrax. The most deadly form of anthrax is inhalation anthrax though, with a mortality rate of around 95%, reduced to 55% mortality by rapid and aggressive treatment. However, inhalation anthrax usually requires a kind of aerosolisation of the spores unless in an environment with naturally aerosolising properties such as high humidity

yes....what happened to "hydrostatic shock...?...the fat bastard.
@brankomilicevic69045 жыл бұрын
not necessarily, for example rapper 50 cent survived being shot with 9 9x19mm rounds and survived. hydrostatic shock depends greatly on round velocity, for example a standard 5.56 NATO load out of a 20 inch barrel will cause hydrostatic shock up to 132 meters or so (if I remember correctly) cause its 4 gram round stays above 800 meters per second up to that distance. I read this a long time ago in a Serbian publication on the matter, so maybe I got my numbers confused a bit :p I'm not sure what is the bullet weight to velocity ratio for a 9mm that would cause hydrostatic shock, you likely need special rounds as well, standard ball (FMJ) round probably wont do it. You'd probably need some hollow point +P+ ammo or something.
@adiweston38415 жыл бұрын
9mm rounds are prudominantly sub sonic where as long barreled rounds such as the 5.56 are usualy super sonic which means they travel faster depending on gun powder load more grains more power as for he would be dead firstly a shot to the side of his arm isnt a kill shot it also missed vital artieries secondly the shot to his lower left abdomin was slowed down by his bullet resistant vest and missed any vital organs the amount of blood loss shown was over exagerated for dramatic viewing yes he would have lost a fare amount of blood and been in pain but still not considered a kill shot
@PaddyInf5 жыл бұрын
Handgun rounds disable in 4 main ways 1. Psychological - The casualty basically thinks 'fuck, I've been shot' then falls over. Not reliable as many don't react to this. 2. Structural - A bullet damages supporting structure so that there is nothing holding the body in position. An example may be a pelvic hit which removes the NoF so there is no way to stand. 3. Hypovolaemia - There is a rapid loss of blood pressure causing brain hypoxia and the casualty loses consciousness. Caused by damaging vessels and vascular organs. More/larger holes equals faster drop in BP, as does a hit in a major organ. A heart hit causes hypovolaemia by stopping the blood actually pumping as well as rapid blood loss, so is typically very quick. 4. Neurological - Direct damage to the CNS (brain or spinal cord). Causes immediate neurological deficit below the injury site. Anything above C5 will stop the diaphragm working and is likely to kill. In short, yes it is fully possible to keep going after a couple of 9mm rounds to the chest. How long for depends on what is hit.

This makes no sense on several levels. Russia was quite capable of producing weaponized anthrax, it should be possible to block all building vents and inject a lethal vapour, and skin anthrax symptoms don't begin as quickly as depicted-24 hours seems to be the minimum. A reading of "Anthrax" in Wikipedia would be useful.

@@steventhompson8701 Whoopee thanks for stating the Bleeding obvious. We all know that is where it came from originally. But from just before the Second world war the Germans breed new strains which were far more deadly than natural Anthrax. We in the UK also carried out experiments to make Anthrax spores mutate into far more deadly strain. We even bomb an island just off Scotland with Anthrax bombs which we population with sheep to observe the effects.
@jediknight1292 жыл бұрын
that's the REASON they use Anthrax and the plague in this stuff in television, it's something we can beat, we can treat and we have a cleanup team for. making It more likely that the kind of morons who want to do this stuff will use it. as for the building, if its not a lab of the kind of level required for bioweapon research under the treaty no they can't jus gas the place reliably. plus this was filmed close to the Russian scandal in the school in chechnya so politically untenable

They think it's okay to use these vulgar expressions in matters of discussions and joking using four letter swear words. If we have to be polite in our comments, don't we also deserve the same courtesy? Don't you people think," what's sauce for the goose, is also sauce for the gander. Let our families get a chance to watch good clean action movies, and the movies for adults under proper supervision, a warning to this families as what ages the movies are suitable for viewing.
