You are a good player. I was watching another KZbinr play this and he was a crazy-man who never pauses or thinks. You play very well, thanks for your videos.

Thank you. Some accuse me of over-thinking, so I guess it's all a spectrum. Some people like face-paced, quick-thinking, but I like pondering matters a bit more.

I personally like your style much much more. You are very objective in your thinking and it is appreciated, as a spectator. The other guy I was watching on KZbin was subjective and would reason things such as, "I feel like Hall should be moving on Pettigrew. Hall looks like he's bored and he seems like he wants to fight." You are objective and more like, "It would not be wise to move Hall because he is already in good cover with elevation while I can see that Pettigrew is out in the open and in a valley. I think I'll just hold my advantage." I know I'm like 2-3 years behind discovering this game and its KZbin following, but my god man, you make much better vids than the other guy I was watching earlier.

That's why we have playlists, so that people can stumble on these videos after they are published and not be inconvenienced trying to track them all down. Although Ultimate General Civil War (this game's successor) is currently a trending wargame on KZbin, and I quite like that game and I think you would too.

You explain in your first video that you wanted to try Gettysburg before Civil War. I'm in the same boat. I want to play Civil War, but I kind of want to try its predecessor first. I'm sure I'll graduate to your Civil War vids eventually.

Only if you don't graduate to them too quickly, as I haven't made them yet :P

By far the best UG Gettysburg lets play I've seen! Thanks Tortuga.

I don't think it's quite to "supply wagon movie" fame yet, but we'll see where it goes from here.

I foresee great and spectacular supply wagon races in your future!

Hey Tortuga! Wanted to say I am a new subscriber, started watching Atlantic Fleet, got hooked on your content and here I am! I work in the North of Canada, and now that winter has come I find myself more and more in front of this computer and it's nice having something to look forward too after a day of work! Thanks! P.S You are much better at any of the games you play than I am.

Welcome, Fischer Dude. If the last thing you wrote is true, I'm very sorry to hear that, for the bar I set is already quite low ;)

Phew, imagine if you had lost cemetery hill and then the game ended after all that brave defending.

That was a most embarrassing and unnerving moment. Really. I think the AI for this battle was not the hardest difficulty or they really could have kicked my butt about that.

You mean this is only day one? Knowing nothing at all about Gettysburg, I'm beginning to see why its so famous.
@TortugaPower8 жыл бұрын
Yep, and day 1 had almost none of the action Gettysburg is so famous for. Chamberlain's 20th Maine and Little Round Top on day 2, and the infamous Pickett's charge on day 3, still to come!

In reality at Gettysburg in 1863, it was the wrong decision. Barlow disobeyed orders in occupying that knoll and paid a heavy price for doing so. Shurtz wanted the line running westward from the County Alms House. If done so Barlow''s flank wouldn't have been in the air as it was on the knoll. Gordon therefore had the perfect opportunity to decimate Barlow's division.

I'm trying to figure out which decision you're referring to. Do you remember what point you're responding to here, or what time stamp I can look to find out?

A little but lucky with the whole outflanked at Cemetery Hill part, but "all's well that ends well" :)

Are you going to play Civil war as well, because I'm really enjoying this series.
@TortugaPower8 жыл бұрын
I most certainly plan to. On the heels of this series if all goes well, but you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men...

Boring AI, it seems really dumb on this scenario. And, too many pauses...I'm watching at 1,75x :) Cheers, M
