Each deal you create has an ID (e.g. the twenty third deal you create would have an ID of 23). Perhaps you could use this as a quote number? Or you could use an automation tool like Zapier to auto-generate a number. Let me know if we can help with this.

This system seems to be very focused on outbound activity to the customer. BUT the only place i get a notifocstion about an incoming mail from the customer is in the salesinbox. It would be very nice if i somehow could get some sort of notifocation in the sales pipeline ex. The box get green or a label shows saying new mail. I dont want to be in the salesinbox all the time

Nice idea! Unfortunately not possible at this time so the best thing to do is to keep an eye on your email either in Pipedrive or your actual email client.

Your videos are great. I currently use GHL & Salesforce. In my opinion what I have is way too complex. Im looking for a very simple crm but one that can do pretty much everything needed in the SALES PROCESS. I'm going to go ahead and get started with pipedrive. Ill be playing around with it during the free trial to decide if I like it or not. I'm also VERY interested in having it built out for me as my CTO is busy with salesforce with my other company. Sometimes in my Dynamics campaigns I discover contacts with outdated emails or people who have left the company. Paul, at time 5:03 you have your pipline open, column with Due Date has date as "5 July" I have tried to change mine to NOT spell out the full month and have the same format. I have had no success, changing under the language that the help section will guide you to. I tried AI, Chat support and no luck. Has this feature gone away? Support said they would use my case as a feedbat to the developers. Do you know how to change this? In my activities view my date spells out "September 9 10:00 AM" and I want a simple 9/9 10:00 AM

My company typically sends out an initial invoice to clients at the start of a project and a second one upon completion, which sometimes means the payments fall in different months. Should I list the project twice in the pipeline to get accurate statistics on when the payments come in?

Paul - I have a rather unique situation I am trying to configure Pipedrive to handle. Basically we have business partners in our company that are 1099 sub contractors. I want to be able to have a single source of truth for prospects and clients but also track sales pipelines. The challenge is that my business revenue is different from the 1099 contractors. How do we share a Pipedrive account when we essentially have different revenue metrics on the same deal. I envision a setup where we all have access to the same prospect pool data but when a deal is created the contractor will enter the deal info and products being proposed and the system would calculate both revenue amounts and display them to the user based on field permissions? Would love to hear your thoughts on how to best set this up

If I understand what you're trying to do, you may be able to achieve this in Pipedrive. You could have the Deal Value represent the overall sale amount. Then use custom fields to break up the revenue into the component pieces. You can then create a report for each portion of the revenue in Insights by referencing these custom fields.

Hey Paul - Does Pipedrive allow me to create more than one pipeline? I'd like to know if I can use it for our Customer Success team? Thinking that we create sales pipeline that moves sales opportunities through various stages. One of the stages will be to do an internal handoff with Customer Success as well as to have an intro call where Customer Success Rep is introduced. Then I want to be able to move the customer over to the new pipeline to assure smooth implementation and rollout.

Yes, you can have multiple pipelines. Just make sure you create a new deal for the custom success part instead of using the sales deal.

A contact is just a person in the database. A lead is a separate object linked to a contact. You can use the lead to store your notes as you prospect and qualify the lead before you convert it into a deal. Likely you didn't include a 'Lead title' column in your import.

Yes, we've worked with numerous insurance agents in Pipedrive. You can integrate RingCentral but it's not very good. I recommend JustCall instead.
