Robin, this is incredible. You give such an incredible overview and make the information so straight forward and easy to understand. It's an amazing amount of information but I can see even beginners succeeding with your work. This is GORGEOUS, and I'm blown away. I'm such a big fan!

@@welcomehomecustom I will be trying a showstopper soon. I need to get the placement layout on the 24x24 but my laser is a WeCreat Vision and the laser bed is smaller than that. Any suggestions?

@@welcomehomecustomwill you be adding this to your Etsy store?

Not right now. A couple of the format zips are bigger than Etsy allows… but the dragon is available on my website welcomehomecustom.com/collections/just-listed-at-welcome-home-custom-designs/products/dragon-showstopper-laser-ready-designs

Very nice work. Do you do a lot of hand sanding for shaping edges of the pieces and removing burnt edges ? Or some kind of rotary like a dremel ?
@welcomehomecustom4 ай бұрын
I use a Marathon rotary tool with Saburrtooth bits. And finish with hand sanding

nice work never thought about doing intarsia type of work on a laser, first time seeing your videos. Subscribed. is the wood you are using solid hardwoods or mdf core with veneer?
@welcomehomecustom4 ай бұрын
I used solid hardwood for the dragon. I rounded the edges with a rotary tool which I can’t do with ply. If I wasn’t going to round the edges, veneer would totally work
@gunracksonline4 ай бұрын
@@welcomehomecustom nice where do you find the thin hardwoods at?
@myhoneyshandmade107710 күн бұрын
@@gunracksonline I mill my own wood down to the desired thickness for lasering. Reach out if you need any.

does this come with a commercial license to sell the finished pieces? (not the files)
@welcomehomecustom4 ай бұрын
It’s for small businesses to make and sell…. yes… not to be sent to a factory to mass produce ❤️

can you buy these in kits? or are these something you have to make yourself?
@welcomehomecustom4 ай бұрын
I create digital files for other laser cutter owners to purchase. I always make one to test the files. So no kits from me but maybe another laser owner would make one after buying the file. ❤️

still interested in a kit? I just bought the file and plan on making one. I mill my own wood to thickness.

I actually draw them in vector format on my iPad using illustrator for iPad. Then I switch over to my desktop to do all the precision and refined work on my Mac in illustrator
