You don't have to actually speak to only the nobles listed in the video there are about 8-10 others who you can speak to i am guessing there are close to 20 total available so if you're just scouting the map and enjoying killing looters you will come across them, Upvote this so others don't stress!

By "guide to starting a kingdom", I thought you will mostly talk about stuff like "how to recruit lords/mercenaries into your freshly started kingdom" or "things you need to watch out for AFTER you created a kingdom", or the "conspiracy events, and how to deal with them"... cuz the very process of creating a kingdom is sort of self-explanatory if you just follow main quest (whole video can be summed up into 1 sentence: follow main questline and pick the option to make your own kingdom" :P .... I was batshit clueless what to do once I formed a kingdom, I had a war declared upon me and got wiped out. Hope you'll cover topics I mentioned in one of your future videos, cuz you do amazing job explaining stuff! :)

I believe at the moment when you form your own kingdom you can't do anything, I created my own and I couldn't even start attack others because the diplomacy system isn't added yet, also the conspiracy quest does nothing yet.

Pretty sure the Dragon Banner is somewhat of a reference to the English Dragon Banner which has been documented by many primary and secondary sources dating back to the mid 13th century. However it is also said within those references that the original banner could date back to the days of the old Kingdom of England (a little less than 1000 A.D) which was ruled by the Kingdom of Wessex before the Danish reconquest in 1016. It’d be pretty cool if that was the case.

Look for a castle that's been recently taken and take it, then quickly make your own kingdom (it automatically makes peace with all factions you've had war with)

@@khoatruong8140 No it's not, it's based on the internal politics of each faction and there's set clans that play a role in that. For example Raganvad of the Sturgians will tell you about how his father died in the battle and he went to claim the dragon banner but Olek's father broke it, but if you ask Olek he will explain that his father won the battle but Raganvad showed up wanting to claim all the glory.

@@ignoramagrotesk5365 Or just make the hideouts the pieces are in always exist in the same place regardless of whether you have started the Dragon Banner quest, that way you can potentially just skip the Neretzes' Folly quest if you so desire (like if you're on a new playthrough and don't want to have to do an "Easter Egg Hunt" trying to find all of the different Lords you need to talk to....or simply add a campaign option only available when starting a campaign to just disable having to bother with the Dragon Banner and be able to create your own Kingdom whenever and wherever the hell you want.

For those who want to form a kingdom in the latest update, please be aware that the requirement is no longer Clan Level 3. It needs Clan Level 4 now, with 900 renown. For comparison, reaching Level 3 only requires you to have 400 renown. Don't be like me. I followed the online guidelines, including this video, only to find that the developers INCREASED the requirement after I haave declared war on some sultan to retake the empire lands they captured from Southern Empire. So now I'm stuck having to raise 500 more renown while fighting off the sultan's armies.

There are more nobles that work with the quest, not just those 10. (Maybe it's because I beheaded some of them, but I know some of the ones I used to finish the quest were not those ones. As a matter of fact some of those weren't even in the list of faction leaders in my playthrough.

You completely skipped over one VERY important detail, not everybody will know how to get a castle on their own. I know it took me awhile to figure out how to do it without joining a faction first and praying they give me one..

You have 2 options that should work when you first take your castle. !st one is if you have met all the requirements for the the "Create Non-Imperial kingdom" quest you should be able to rush over to Marunath after you finish creating your Kingdom and And accept Dragon Banner from Arzagos. This will cancel all sieges by enemies to your castle at that moment. 2nd option which is what I did because I had no where near enough renown to complete Arzagos mission So what I did was after I took my castle I ransomed off the owners to nearest town and when I returned to the Castle (which was not yet under attack} I found the previous owners had returned to my castle and were found inside my Keep. I bartered with wife of the previous owner, and was able to make piece with the Valandian Kingdom who I had taken the castle from in the first place, 4500 denars is what I offered up to settle for piece and they accepted. I was set back to neutral status.

I‘m pretty sure you can‘t just go over the limit with your troops and that will work, I tried it before and it didn‘t... But if you‘re clan tier 3 it shouldn’t be a problem to reach a party size of like 105, just increase the diversity of food in your inventory (this will also level up your Steward skill) and will eventually give you a bonus of like 7 in party size, that‘s how it worked for me✌🏼

THANK YOU! I have literally had to recreate my whole campaign because I was unable to acquire a settlement b4 the quest expired in 3 of my play throughs. This will be the 4th iteration of my Campaign and im hoping this time I do it properly. I was literally up to 650k gold with a decent army and gear and stats in some schools like trade over 100. I did the same thing on my first two accounts, waited too long making money and failed the quests. I suggest you get the the developer console mod if you wish to continue those characters, simple commands can get you your own kingdom regardless of failing the missions.

I chose to take out the empire but only southern empire existed at this stage and after 1 battle they were gone too. Now my quests keep spamming stop a conspiracy but as it starts it also ends then a few days later it repeats. No idea what is going on.

been 120 hours splurging, i found it almost impossible to create your own kingdom. my stories: 1. i found it that no long after ive taken a castle, i didnt do anything but it says "my kingdom declare war on another kingdom" which is ok for few moments. but then shortly afterwards, youve got your kingdom declaring war without your conscience (maybe its a bug or part of istiana/arzagos conspiracy quest? i dont know) then youve got wave army of 600s coming, while at the same time youre still tier 3 clan which maxed troops station on your castle would be no more than 300s (200 garrison+militia+100s yours). boom, my castle has been taken after 3 defenses. oh i almost forgot that you can persuade another kingdom clan to join your kingdom, some with money, some with dialogue checks. but for real, you still need an influence that are really hard to get at that time to gather army. and when they are wounded, their troops going nowhere. so it is real useless. 2. and when youve been clan tier 4 without completing dragon banner quest, the quest turned to be failed and whoosh you dont have quest anymore, yet you cant create a kingdom, even if you taken whole city, while you neede more soldier than ever.

Important note: you need a castle that belongs to a former territory of the empire. Aka, valandian castles etc won’t count. I got gifted these by my kingdom and only realised when I tried to leave and start my own.

I failed the main quest. If you proceed it along, and then conquer Calradia for Vlandia for ten years, before you meet the two you fail it. Has a ten year timer. 😂

There are more then 10 nobles you can speak with but you do only need 10, so what I've found most useful is to go to the aserai (they have about 4 nobles to speak with if you know where to find them. Then go to the southern empire, then the khuseits, then the northern empire and then the sturgians. You probably won't even need the battanians or the vlandians but if you do go there you have 2 from each one if I'm not wrong

ATTENTION SPOILER ! : if you do the quests and reach the 5th quest you'll trigger a quest called azragos conspiracy or istiana conspiracy and its a bar that will be filled very quickly, once its full the entire kingdoms will start a war on you, there's absolutely no way in hell you can fight them every army everywhere in the map will start the war on you and you'll lose your entire hard work in probably 2-3 days ' in game time '.

So I'm on day 1000+ my entire game is on hard mode because every castle seems to be maxed out and have a huge defense and there are cities with 10000 prosperity. I managed to train an entire army of battanina fians and finally took my first castle without an army. Then I realized my quest to create a kingdom is gone, turns out THERES A TIMER ON THE MAIN QUEST AND YOU CAN FAIL IT! Theres no way in game to create your own kingdom after that happens but Luckily you can just download the dev console off the nexus page and create your own kingdom if your having a similar issue. You only went the route of making a kingdom to over throw the empire if you want to restore it you also need a settlement that is empire based.

Yeah, I totally failed the mission. I took a settlement owned by the Northern Empire , but it didn't count toward the Empire settlement. Took another Northern empire owned settlement, still didn't count. Kept trying, but started losing against the super large armies. Then the quest failed, cause it apparently gives you 523 days. Now I don't know what to do.

I’m really trying to find specific information. Thank you for the video so I’m a vassal of Landia. I have like three fives right now. Velandia is pretty powerful and they’re constantly at war with somebody else. I still need to take down a bunch of empire fives for the main quest, and conspiracy parties. Keep popping up to distract me so I can’t just raise one big army and go around the map wiping out the Empire. I’d also like to become king. I don’t know if I want to be independent, or become the king of Velandia, but I’m trying to figure out how to proceed would appreciate any advice. Thanks again.

Kill as many as you can, get wounded, regen health, repeat. Or download Bannerlord Tweaks mod. It includes the ability to take your whole force into bandit hideouts.

Okay what I done was took too long to complete the main quest. So it says this quest is not available after 10 years... I have a large clan and I'm tier 5, I have like 8 castles and 1 town. However, Asari keep declaring war against me after I buy peace and I'm running out of money to keep them back... How do I create a kingdom since this quest is expired?

I was hoping that you'd get into details with how to acquire a settlement or ways of increasing your party size etc. You know, a guide on how to FILL those bars in the mission tab. I made the mistake of joining the Aserai as a vassal, helped them take half the map then left their kingdom on good terms. This was after the main quest completion. I now have 2 cities and 3 castles of my own but can't create a kingdom, 144 hours in and I don't want to restart. 😔

I've found the easiest way of obtaining a settlement is to become a vassal for a kingdom, gain a feif and leave the kingdom... Yes they will hate you, but upon completion of the task peace is made to all kingdoms. I managed to get two major cities to start my faction off with, lovely income!

You can take a castle, then pay the enemy faction for peace. For me its about 50k denars. I snipe a castle then pay for peace. That's how I'm growing.

I really dislike that talking to 10 people in an easter egg hunt is the only way to attain kingdom rank. There needs to be a non-tedious method that lets you do it if you progress enough through otherwise normal gameplay. Edit: I'd also be fine if we could form armies with our own parties w/o the rank, though having no policies that way is still annoying.

Castles won't count towards the settlement requirement, it has to be a city.

my favorite part of this game is going to a city to set up 3 caravans and only to find out the champions are at my city not in my party. ugh. im going to try and set yp my new kingdom as the empire is constantly warring and messing up my trade options then they give me keeps at the front line diminishing my troops. finaly im vack at 2 million in gold so gonna yank the chain on them and see how i manage. will have to create a save just in case. like i do before a siege. sadly i also gave the flag to rhaghea and it really was expecting a caslte for it at least. nope oh thank you on your way now.

Ok, I'm with Vlandia and got 1 castle from them. If I want to create my own kingdom, do I have to leave Vlandia and keep my castle? Doesn't that start a war with them?

Buttergolem you can leave with your castle but when you to Arzagos and you make your own kingdom it will make you to peace with everyone so it’s quite helpful

You would have to return any fiefs to the ruler before you leave, so no, that won't work. They won't start a war with you, but you will lose some reputations with all Kingdoms clans if you were a vassal. Not sure if you lose any as a merc though.

If I take my clan out of a faction I lose all my settlements I gained - an cannot retake settlements.

Anyone else is getting the "stop conspiracy " quest? I don't know how to end it, I captured Manurath where the conspirator is living and there are no special dialogue and I tried to just swing at him, no combat... pls reply if you know how to solve t

hm the list of noble who have something to say seems incomplete. I am 110% sure there are always 2 nobles from each faction who can be asked. for now I can only recall the name of the Kuzait Ruler Monchug.

Also you didn’t explain stuff like relation with other kingdoms depending on which option you chose when creating your kingdom you can send companions out with their own party regardless of whether your a lord or a king as long as you’re the leader of your clan you can create other parties

@@ResonantRTS The wars and peace are declared randomly, as if you were still a vassal. Attacking caravans and villages is not an appropriate war declaration, and rather an exploit. It suits a bandit to backstab people like this, not a king.

@@blackthorn7298 and it also costs 300 influence. The game doesn't support it yet. I spent 35 hours making sure I have everything I could possibly need to create my own kingdom. I took a castle, hired mercenaries, had a stable income, I even got myself a clan to follow me as a vassal. And now I'm just stuck at not being able to do anything with my kingdom. Cant even change the banner from an empty red flag

There is a mod called "Diplomacy Reworked" on Nexus mods. It allows you wage war or sue for peace with any faction from any settlement. I highly recommend it.

So I've met all the requirements except owning a community. I'm not and haven't been in any kingdom yet. When I roll up in front of a castle, I get no option to attack it. Do I have to join/acquire/quit another kingdom to form a kingdom?

Raid a village and you'll be an enemy of that faction. You can then take over the castle or settlement

Or approach a lord and say "I have come to deliver my demands" to battle him and then you'll be at war with his faction. Once you are at war you can besiege settlements.

Why are you calling it "faction" when the game itself calls it kingdoms?
