Pretty good explanation. I had to learn the hard way experiencing slow areas as I gradually added more pieces of track. I put together homemade power taps using old lamp cord, speaker wire etc. I have about 85 linear ft of 1:43 analog track. I started with one power tap. It helped but not enough so added another, then another & final stopped @ six. There are no voltage drops anywhere & track runs smooth. I did home runs going all back to the piece of straight track next to the power supply. Lane changes did confuse me a bit, but then I removed them to make it simple to avoid crashes from little slot car drivers...4 grandkids.

Great to hear but I'm surprised you had so much issues with 1/43. Have you cleaned the rails?

@@Sundayslotcars Hi Billy, that definetly seems to be the problem. 28 Meters equals 85 Feet, which the Go!! System should easily take without any extra power-supply. I once set up a Go!! Track about 2 Meters longer and it worked fine. I know of other Go!! owners that also stated, 28 Meters will run fine with the Go!! System. Another stated , that his Track is 35 Meters long and works fine. Basically it is recomended to add a power supply on Go!! Systems from 20 Meters on. But one can run a analog Go!! system even longer. without it On 1/32 , 1/24 and Go!! Digital Systems one should add a power-supply from every 10 Meters on, because there will be problems with the Rails. On an analog Evolution system, 12 - 15 Meters works fine. Mine is about 15 Meters long and runs fine. It needs to be cleaned regulary though from time to time, depending on how often I run it. Loopings and Lane-Changes do reduce the power on analog Go!! Systems. Catch you later on Rahul`s stream tonight. ;-)

@felicegu That’s exactly how I did mine. I believe the home run method works best and is most logical. Cheers!

What I discovered is that slot cars brands such as SCX Compact or Carrera Go don't need more than 3 power taps on my 85 linear feet of analog 1:43 track. This is because these brands run anywhere from 11 volts to 14. I initially bought Litehawk brand, & those slot cars run on 5 volts. I had to increase the amount of power taps to eliminate the voltage drops. Now all brands run smooth with no slow sections. Merry merry to you Cad1900

About once a month I spray a small lint free towel with WD40 & clean the whole track which includes the rails. Surprising how dirty the towel gets especially since the track is set up on plywood with 3 folding tables & high off the ground. Someone told me that beside power taps there are tiny thin pieces of metal that can be slipped in between the joints of the track. That sounds easier than running jumpers but apparently you need many of these tiny metal pieces. In any event the power taps resolved my slow spots. I even separated the lanes & each lane has it's own variable power supply.

Great to hear the taps helped your track. There are other methods too like using Inox on rail joints. For most people just having a tap or two will keep their track running satisfactory. I try to keep things simple on this channel.

Great video. I have a different question that maybe you could help with. On carrera 1/32 track, do you have any tips on height problems at the rail connections. I got two turns that the tracks are different heights connected and I don't want to bend rails up or down to make them even. If you have an suggestions, it would be much appreciated

Are you trying to connect a bank turn with a flat turn? If it's happening the two flat turns I would try to see if a piece of metal is sticking out of the connection parts and bend them down. I also find the issue can be a black tab isn't going inside the other pieces slot and forces the whole thing outward.

@@Sundayslotcars it's two flat pieces of track. I'm going to try bending the one that's higher down. It makes a click when the guide hits the high point. It's really noticeable with my 1/24 cars. Thanks for answering back!

How do I apply this power tap idea to my 40’ analog track? I dont get this.

There's a section in the video for Carrera Evolution. That's Carrera's analog system. If you're trying to wire a different brand or a wood oval this video won't be helpful.
