Thank you so much for showcasing the curling sport! My mum runs the management of a Swiss curling centre and we definitely feel the decline of popularity in the sport, but it's a great and positive community! Glad to see you had fun, and if you're ever in Switzerland, you're definitely invited for a game and a round of drinks after:) I don't know if this only applies to Swiss curling habits, but winners buy the losers drinks (so both win something respectively, the game or free alcohol!)

I went to observe a friend's curling practice this week and met and talked to the skip for the USA deaf team. He said the world cup is next month in Canada. Good luck to all the deaf teams next month and the Olympic wheelchair para teams later this month. 💜 from the States.

Here in Canada played hockey and then curled with school teams on the weekends too. Anything involving ice and snow is definitely more common here though since so many ice rinks for hockey, figure skating, speed skating, and then curling 🥌

IF I even attempted to watch the Winter Olympics, Curling was my favorite sport to watch. On the other hand, I can watch the Summer Olympics in its entirety and never get bored. And watching this video actually taught me more about the sport. Great job! My question for Nile would be... If he were to go back into the Olympics but in another sport, what sport would it be?

I’m a gymnast myself and won golds in numerous county’s, please don’t get me wrong I really do appreciate the things you are doing and the content you provide for this channel but there are soooo many "sports" that I personally wouldn’t class as sports. For example, curling, golf, archery, horse riding, etc. people in these comments please don’t be offended but that’s just my opinion. my opinion of sport and what classes as a sport would be that you were out of breath you are the one doing the work and are constantly moving. Not to say any of these sport don’t involve skill(they do) I just personally wouldn’t call it a sport🤷🏻♀️
@haemka99062 жыл бұрын
@stephanie salkeld. So by your own definition, balancing on a beam in gymnastics is not a sport? I don’t see these girls “out of breath”…
@barbaraschmitt852 жыл бұрын
The sweepers are definitely out of breath and constantly moving. They probably also spend some time in the gym.
@stephaniesalkeld62912 жыл бұрын
@@haemka9906 hahahah well I don’t know we’ll the last time you’ve done beam but clearly you haven’t. You get out of breath babe
@haemka99062 жыл бұрын
@stephanie salkeld thats my point. In many sports one doesn’t seem out of breath but they certainly are. Such as horseback riding and curling… Saying that, I don’t see boxing as a sport, not a fan of people beating each other up…
@stephaniesalkeld62912 жыл бұрын
@@haemka9906 I mean I see curling as a sport more than horse riding🤷🏻♀️ like I said in my comment, it’s just my opinion, everyone has one. I never meant to offend anyone
