Ultimate HD Plane Spotting PART 1, 3+ Hours Watching Airplanes Chicago O'Hare International Airport

Over 60 different Airlines and 30 kinds of Aircraft are on display in these two tribute videos (this is part 1 of 2). Highlights from the 2012-2015 time-frame, Incredible Sunrise and Sunset shots, hundreds of Landings, Takeoffs, Departures, Arrivals, Regional Jets and Heavy Aircraft combine to make these two videos some of the best planespotting videos ever made. PART 1 kicks off with some of my best ever plane spotting shots followed by several hours of watching airplanes.
This is part 1 of the last ever Sony HX200v upload before I upgrade to the new camera.
No, my friends, you DON'T need big, fancy expensive equipment to create a successful KZbin channel. My gosh! Have you guys realize how quiet are those Gen-X GE engines from Lufthansa 747-8 at 1:23:30 to 1:24:13 ??? For comparison, if one goes back one minute (1:22:34) there is another 747, fairly new, but from the same distance it makes much more sound. Amazing!!!

My favorite place that you film from. Thumbs up for Runway 28C!!!! Awesome stuff Jay!! I just finished watching the entire thing. Today was my day off from flying (Labor Day). That ANA 777 with the Star Alliance livery had a really good cross-wind landing. Upwind gear touches before the downwind (left aileron, right rudder), that was textbook. 10:14 is beautiful!!!!!

+LAX Videography and Spotting I do recommend the Sony Cameras.. they are very user friendly and always great results for the most part..... I recommend the Sony HX400V but I went with the HX300 for myself... it works better for me.

34:15 I’ve never seen that where the engines themselves actually have little flaps on them that pop out when the plane is landing. Pretty crazy what they do on these heavy jets.

I believe you are probably looking at the reverse thrusters in action.

Yep! HiTechOilCo is correct. Those are reverse thrusters. They direct the engine thrust back forward to help slow the airplane down quickly on landing.
