Ingredients:
Halloumi Cheese: 30 g
Cherry Tomatoes: 5 g
Cucumber: Half
Carrots: Two slices
Asparagus: Three pieces
Maple Syrup: 20 g
Yoghurt: 20 g
Strawberry: One
Walnuts and Almonds: 20 g
Lemon: One slice
Egg: One
Bacon: Two slices
Mustard: 5 g
Instructions:
Preparing the Cooking Tray:
Begin by placing a sheet of parchment paper in the cooking tray. This will help prevent sticking and make cleanup a breeze. Ensure the parchment paper covers the entire bottom of the tray for even coverage.
Cooking the Bacon:
Take a slice of bacon and roll it up tightly. Place the rolled bacon on the prepared cooking tray. Repeat this process for each slice of bacon you are using. Once all the bacon rolls are on the tray, place it in the preheated oven and cook until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
Blanching the Asparagus:
Fill a pot with water until it reaches about 1/4 of the pot’s capacity. Bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, submerge the asparagus in the water and let it cook for 4-5 minutes. After cooking, quickly transfer the asparagus to a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking process and preserve their vibrant green color.
Making the Poached Egg:
Fill a pot with 250 ml of water and add 10 grams of vinegar. Bring the water to a gentle simmer. Using a spoon, create a gentle swirl in the water. Carefully crack an egg into the center of the swirl and let it cook for 3 minutes. The swirling motion helps to shape the poached egg nicely. Once done, use a slotted spoon to remove the egg from the water.
Grilling the Halloumi Cheese:
Place the Halloumi cheese on the grill and cook for about three minutes on each side until it develops a nice golden color and grill marks. The cheese should be soft and slightly crispy on the outside.
Preparing the Vegetables and Nuts:
Slice the cucumber and carrot into thin pieces. Halve the cherry tomatoes. Set these aside along with the strawberry.
Toast the walnuts and almonds lightly in a dry pan until fragrant and slightly golden.
Assembling Your Healthy Breakfast:
Now it’s time to assemble your ultimate healthy breakfast. On a plate, arrange the crispy bacon rolls, blanched asparagus, poached egg, grilled Halloumi cheese, sliced cucumber, carrot slices, cherry tomatoes, and strawberry.
