I spent my whole life listening to people tell me I talk too much. Now my 13 year old experiences the same thing. I will tell you the same thing I tell her, and what I wish someone had told me as a child: You will be too much for some people. Those are just not your people... I think you are absolutely lovely and I am so glad to have found your channel. And I hope nobody ever tries to silence your advice, no matter how little it means to them. It is excellent! You are very smart.

I was told I talked too much most of my life, by teachers, (not) friends, and even my dad. I take great pride in the fact that I spent a very long, very successful career teaching software and providing tech support, teaching sewing and creating early VHS sewing videos --- all due to being able to TALK. Communication is a great ASSET in life!
@IdontWatchIsee2 жыл бұрын
@@eurekamarijka yes, it is a great asset in life, BUT dont be a burden to people around! Usually people that talk too much are those who don't listen and who don't care what the other person has to say. So if you find yourself monolog-ing often, yes you talk too much and you are not communicating!
@eurekamarijka2 жыл бұрын
@@IdontWatchIsee Since you don't know me, I'll forgive you for doing the monolog-ing here. And, by the way, this is me listening - which I never said was an issue. The POINT is that it is not necessarily a negative to be a communicator.

I commented earlier saying I was about to try this and I'm feeding back several washes later to say THANK YOU, you have changed my world! I had never previously found a way to stop my hair, which looked great when wet, turning into a frizz ball that my partner referred to as my Lion mane when dry. I now have defined, shiny spirals and waves. I have modified the technique slightly to do it in the shower for speed and less mess but it is still your technique. Thanks again for the video.

@tess60475 жыл бұрын
soilofk everyone always says that people who have strait hair want curly hair and vice versa and I don't even have that curly hair and it's a lot of work I'm not sure if strait haired people understand the time and effort (that sounds so dramatic haha) . I honesty would rather strait hair and it's not that I'm not "embracing my curls" it's just sooo much work and time to get them to come out semi decent and it all being ruined like the next day
@soilofk5 жыл бұрын
I agreed. My curls are exactly like yours, I can blow dry my hair and have it straight or do large curls at the end or have it super curly...that gives me alternatives in looks, but on the other hand, I can't have my hair so short cause it looks strange, or bangs...oh bang are a nightmare! but I am embracing my curls...everyone always ask me if I got a perm or if I curl my hair, I like that! lol

I was surprised to hear that people think you talk too much, that has never crossed my mind when watching your videos - Everything you talk about has to do with hair, curls, etc. I think u stay on topic really well while also giving enough background info to make everything clear - like saying that your hair wasn't frizzy, it was just the grey hair and talking about the size of the curl clumps being due to your haircut, so we'd know it didn't make your hair stringy. I think those side notes r important, and it's often where I pick up little tid bits of info that I wouldn't know otherwise, and usually don't even think of until u say something. I'm still pretty new to all this, but I've watched (and read) a ton of content about curly hair, and I get new pieces of info from you, that often aren't what the video was technically about, but I'm always happy to learn it! I think u talk just the right amount - enough to make the video interesting, with clear information, but without dragging it out too long or talking about things that aren't relevant in some way. So be yourself - I'm glad you only care about decreasing your water usage, and not how much u talk on YOUR channel.

On an unrelated note, I think I finally found out about my porosity. And that's it's low. I tried the S2C on my last wash day and my curls are so much tighter! I knew they could be like this, they just didn't want to. I was so happy that after months of trying I finally realized what I was doing wrong. I was doing everything for high porosity hair because I've been using so much sulfate so and silicones and my hair was always that dry but ITS LOW POROSITY! I'm so happy to finally have found out, also thanks to your videos. I always thought that with my "high" porosity hair I wouldn't need to try it even, but I was soooo wrong. I talk a lot, too! Yay!! I’ve never seen this method before, super interesting. I’m not usually this patient with my curls, but your results are gorgeous!!

Am trying the bowl method now using whatever I have at home. Now just waiting for my hair to dry! I hope my hair turns out as good as yours!

I just subscribed to your channel. OMG, your hair is beautiful. I used to have curly hair until I did the unspeakable. Yes, I did a relaxer and I regret it ever since. Now its a journey to going back to curly hair. I do hope my curls will come back.

This seems like a lot of work and time! Looks great - mine is not as curly - more wavy and I wish it would do this!
