We are very curious about this... what is Triumph's reputation in your country?

USA: Good overall. I'd say 4 out of 5.

Better looking than the GSA1300. Triumph quick shifter is one of the best in the business.

i have the Tiger 1200 GT Pro and when i first got it the vibration was not good. After it had its first service the vibration went away. in 6th gear on the motorway you can ride at 70 mph plus and i don't get any vibration. the best thing was when i took it for service last october and they did an update so you can use the press of the mode button to drop the suspension and raise it again or it raises automatically at 52 mph. Being short and it being a heavy bike this was a game changer. it has power and not very often do i put it in sports mode, but when i do it puts a big smile on my face. it is no slouch. the quickshifter compared to the 900 GT Pro is like butter. I was advised not to go for the explorer and i am glad i didn't. i don't get any vibration from the mirrors or any buffeting from the windshield. Could be because i am 5'7 with a 29 inch inside leg. good vlog btw

Your review is outstanding. Thank you, as this motorcycle was at the top of my list for consideration when I replace my current motorcycle. Now I have a lot of good information to go on, as where I live in the U.S. we do not get long test rides to evaluate motorcycles.

The older engine was way smoother. For some reason they fitted a cross plane crankshaft which made it more vibey
@gwynnromano58814 ай бұрын
That T-Plane crank cost them a sale. I had ridden an older Explorer and loved the engine. Road tested the 850 Sport last year and the buzz through the handlebars turned me off almost immediately. I’m not doing serious off road riding I was looking for a road bike with presence in traffic. Frankly I think the Triumph engineers were too clever by half. Quit chasing BMW.

Is this a 2023 or 2024 model? They re did the engine to reduce the vibrations in the 2024.
@martindivall53014 ай бұрын
This is very important to know which model is being tested , I have the 2024 model , and it has noticeably less vibes than the 22/23 model that I road tested. So really important to find our which MY it is. They changed a lot inside the engine, and basically increased the weight of the crankshaft by 1kg .

Yeah I wondered about this too. I've ridden the 23 model and would agree on the remarks.

I've been running my 2023 Rally Pro now for a little over a year and covered approximately 16.000km on it. Yes the engine is not as smooth as the old Tiger 1200, of which I owned two of, but for me thats a good thing as I always felt the old 1200 motor was just too smooth and lacked character and made the bike feel a little dull. Yes the new model vibes a bit but I've never found them to be intrusive. It is the most comfortable long distance bike I've ever owned but it is true the screen could be better, a little lip deflectore on the top helps no-end. The anti stall Triumph seem to add to all their new bikes, my 2022 Scrambler 1200XE also has it, where it adds rev's once in gear is not a good solution and a pain in traffic and off road. Talking of off road, the new 1200 tiger is as about as good as it gets when you're talking about big bore ADV bikes and will run rings around the big GS.

An ADV motorcycle is one that can handle all conditions well. Offroad and onroad. The biggest complaint about the previous triples is that they give no feedback in the dirt. It's been general consensus that the older tigers didnt have good offroad chops compared to the 2-cylinder competition. This t-plane engine configuration, although vibey, truly makes the Tiger a well-rounded ADV

For the people that complain because of vibrations...buy a car! Yes, you can feel it. But is not as people seem to love to cry about it. I own a Rally 900 and I can ride it as long as my previous r1200gs. I don't understand internet cry babies

Beautiful great bike. I tried the GT Pro. I don't agree on the QS; while it is smooth, it is also slow (it's really a slow shifter). What bothered me a little also is the wind buffeting, but this depends on the rider (height, position, sensitivity). But it's a great looking bike with a great engine. I ended up with the Multistrada V4 (no wind at all, real sporty QS and also a great engine), but I was very close to buy a Tiger 1200 (which would have left my bank account less empty). Multi is probably better, but much much more expensive. I thing you get more for the money with the Tiger.

The engine they used to have was way smoother. Triumph has always been known to have an extra kick once you get past about 5000 rpms. It's what the triple is known for. The 2013 Trophy SE I used to have was a blast once you got past 5000 rpms. Too bad the electrical gremlins were its downfall for me.

Was yours a US model or are you located somewhere else in the world ? Sometimes I see one for sale with low miles and wonder if it's a decent (reliable) motorcycle to keep around for a while.

@@GIGABACHI I have a US model 2014 Trophy SE. Have had no electrical issues. 55k miles on it now. Issues I had were a sticky windshield motor, and a low mile failure on the rear drive. Fixed under wty and has been fine for another 45K miles. I would be a little leery of a 2013- first year issues?

They have ruined the silky, turbine like power delivery of the traditional 120° crankshaft. I rode a Tiger 800, that thing was pure Mantequilla with a nice wallop to the top end. This 1200 feels more like a broken engine.😒👎💩 A shame, as I think the rest of the bike it's very good.
