If you go vertical the you’ll get excess mud over the corner edges onto both adjacent walls. You’ll creat 10x unnecessary work for yourself. She’s a legitimate professional…

Also as I don't know anything about skimming my college is hoping to do a skimming 101 class to teach us about it. Is it ok for doing normal skimming or just for drywall skimming? Could you do a tutorial on a normal skim for someone who doesn't have a drywall and also what to use for the mix (again I know some mixes you will have that we won't have and visa versa) thank you 🙂

nicolescott89 I realize your comment is from 3 weeks ago, but I have a 32-in skimming blade and it works great because you don't need to use the entire 32 in you can fix a bad butt joint and only use 24 in of the blade if you wanted to. So if I was only buying one I think I would prefer a 32 personally
