Coming from the Huawei Mate 10 Pro (which was a standard setter for battery life a couple of years ago) onto the iPhone 11 Pro and now to the iPhone 12 Mini, I am impressed in all three phones. The iPhone 11 Pro battery life was far beyond my expectations as what I would consider myself a heavy user. Six-eight hours of screen time before seeing 20% was almost upsetting that my phone allowed me to waste that much of my life staring at a tiny screen. This stomped the battery life of my Mate 10 Pro and I was very happy with it as well. The iPhone 12 Mini is by far outshining expectations that were reflecting what early big-name reviewers were saying about its battery life. This phone is doing so well, I seem to be ending my moderately heavy usage days at 35-40% battery life remaining, I couldn't ask for better battery life in a practically sized device. I say practical as my thumbs of my large hands can comfortably reach all corners of the display using the device one-handed, I really feel for those tiny handed people with giant phones.

I disabled background app refresh, turn off all unnecessary notification, charge my phone when it is in 50%-60%(never drain the battery), turn off wifi, data and bluetooth (from setting) when not in use, just paly games occasionally and I stayed at ios version 14.0.1 (searchiAppleBytes in youtube about best IOS version for battery). the best for iphone 11 was actually ios 13.4.1 but i like the aesthetics of ios 14 so I sacrificed lol.

Rinan Manuel I am heavy user, granted during the week I do have other priorities to attend you than spending time on my phone, but I still consider myself have a user. ESP on the weekends. When I conducted my test it was the first day that I got the 12 Pro Max, which was on a Friday so I was very free. I unplugged it from the charger and it took 11 hours and 45 minutes for it to go from 100% to 2%. And I was using it for a solid 10 1/2 hours of that time. During that 2 1/2 hours I was gaming, browsing Safari, texting, using social media, and watching movies. It’s true the 12 Pro Max has about 15 to 30 minutes less battery life than the 11 promax. However keeping in mind my individual test results, you can be assured that the 12 promax has spectacular all day battery life. Therefore, I would suggest the 12 promax. It’s an even bigger display than the 11 Pro Max, which is nicer for gaming. You get a better mobile data chip compared to the 11 Pro Max, I can paired photos with one of my friends 11 promax. The differences not insane, but I could tell, and he could tell, that the 12 promax let more light in.

Rinan Manuel One of my other friends told me that he thought he would look better on my phone since it was the new model. However he said he actually looked worse on my new phone because it showed each of his pores because of the insane detail of the camera. Therefore, because of all these reasons I would get the 12 promax since it is newer, bigger, and has other smaller improvements over the 11 promax. Especially the ram... that will help with gaming to!

I been in conditions at below -30 celsius where many phones will stop working because the battery cannot deliver enough juice, iphones will work even with degraded battery because of that downclocking. Turn off that safety and you cant call for rescue when the diesel in your car freezes to sludge in -32c and you lose all engine power.

Hi your method of testing battery by separating each category usages is really accurate. I try to compare iPhone X's max battery to 12 mini by comparing two video using iPhone 11 as benchmark and I surprised that both video result the same for all iPhone 11 lineup. Accept for 3D gaming perhaps you used different game for testing. Once again great job !

I upgraded from the iPhone 8 to the 12 and it was a significant upgrade for battery life. With my iPhone 8, I usually have to charge the phone by the late afternoon, and this was after I got the battery replaced. I didn’t even use the phone for anything intensive. However, with the iPhone 12, the battery had no problem lasting me the whole day, with about 30% left when I go to bed, and this is when I actually try to use my iPhone and avoid my MacBook and iPad. In most days, the iPhone 12’s battery life can last me a day and a half in normal use, if not two days if I’m really conservative with my usage.

Ad for asking . I just bought an iphone 12 pro. Beat box. I charged the battery to 100% and left it for 6 hours to 18 hours and the battery was 78%. Do not open 4G . wifi .bluetooth.do not log in to zalo and other applications always. So is there any error, Ad. Is there a source error ad.

That is surprising to learn 11 pro had a shorter battery life in the browsing test than the 12 mini. I used both and I have always seen the 11 pro outlast the 12 mini.
