I drilled a hole through the assembly tapped the gear change rod countersunk the handlebar used a countersunk bolt and slid my rubber back over works a treat

A tip when applying grips...use hairspray...you don't need to heat the grips and it won't distort the grips when applying....the hairspray will allow the grips to slip on very easily and will dry keeping the grips in place and will prevent them from twisting prematurely...

Brake cleaner fors the same trick as hairspray too. Just not on rock hard 63 year old grips

@kickbackgarage The only issue with brake cleaner is that it breaks down the plastic.. Great cleaner never actually dries where hairspray does. ,, Hairspray is not harmful to the Material grips are made from..

Got CASA rubbers for my GP but they seem to fit like a sock on a chickens leg. Tried hairspray & PVA. Every time I take panels off the rubbers come with them. Any thoughts? Keep the videos coming. Luv em

Have you seen the fork taper bearings from MB and Casa? Look interesting.

Yes . Taper bearings work best when installed both up and down. So a combination of both should week great. Unfortunately the upper bearing from casa is non Chrome ring only

Just remember to take the earths to cdi and stator so you dont cook them!
