The marginated tortoise natural habitat ranges to caspian region aswell, armenia, azerbaijan, northern Iran and turkmenistan. The greece turtle are all over Iran, you always find random tortoises near the roads or in your backyard, alot of people have had childhood tortoise pets ,they are very funny and beautiful 💜

Hey Kenan, you said this tortoise does well in small areas. What size indoor enclosure would work for Juvenile and adult sizes?
@christinailechukwu34482 жыл бұрын
They cannot be held indoors. They need a outdoor habitat, that is close to their natural habitat.

You can trim it if necessary, but unless you know what you’re doing, you should probably have a vet do it.

elongated tortoise
@Miltonrecordsdk7 жыл бұрын
+Zac Dale - They definitely do not like a lot of humidity? They are dersert species... Of course you will still have to give them a water bowl and spray them a few times but they don't live as humid as elongated, mountain, redfoots, or yellowfoots.

How big should a tortoise be before you put it in an outdoor enclosure? I have a baby hermanns (will be 1yr old in July) and I'm worried to put it outside because of possible predators.
@SlugSniffer737 жыл бұрын
Erin Plummer If you do just make sure that they are completely covered, and that the weather is appropriate. With that being said, people usually wait a few years to move them outside because they're so vulnerable.

@@christinailechukwu3448 Its not like Mcdonald's french fries. All the potatoes are grown on the mountain, and they don't deep fry them, they are baked. They are basically just eating baked potatoes with salt.
