"All of them" meaning four teams in top 64? There were a bunch of other Zero-Vergil teams, but combined there was only around ten. Apart from the top two, they were pretty spread out through the whole tournament, and character variety was otherwise uncharacteristically strong. The only problem... is that variety didn't win.

I hope word spreads that what Jibrill and Evasion were doing was the highest level stuff in the game. ZMC looks invincible, but everything can be beaten in UMvC3. You gotta' block those incoming mix-ups, not get clipped while finding position, and then actually hit Zero and Vergil (Dante is dangerous alone, but less so). Point Morrigan, Magneto, and even Vergil deal with Zero better than most, but patient players with experience and a plan are the most important element. Marvel 3 is full of possibilities, and while Morrigan or Zero projectile matches sure do happen, and Vergil or Phoenix comebacks also happen, they aren't all the game is. I want people to see that, and not just focus on a one-sided and repetitive finale. After all, KBR is an old EVO champ maining a(n optimal) big body team, SpartanThrone broke Top 6 with an anti-meta team sporting a bottom tier anchor, and just out of Top 8 we had WolfStreet using the the only Viewtiful Joe, Rocket Raccoon, and one of two Trish's, in Top 64. The game is as alive as ever, y'all.
