Love it! Columbo had a whole new logic to learn with this "magical notebook" and not only did he learned its ins and outs, he actually used his recent knowledge of the Death Note to catch Light.

Honestly, sillier bits aside, I love how the interaction between these two was played pretty straight. Both of them felt perfectly in character and so was the way that Columbo duped Light. Also, don’t know if I’m reaching here, but Columbo referring to Ryuk as "That Gangly Lookin’ Fella" has got to be a reference to the Gianni Mantannegro video

Once again, Light’s arrogance is his downfall. Never underestimate Columbo.
