As I've said in the Vanilla MvC3 video & for those wondering about the fate of the MvC series, despite popular belief, *Marvel didn't revoke the contract from Capcom.* Had that been the case, Capcom would have taken down every MvC game at the same time. Instead, their contract expired one by one since Capcom didn't renew said contract. Activision were the only ones to have their contract revoked, but even then Marvel & Activision talked things out to get Deadpool back on Steam & get the Deadpool game a Remastered release on the PS4 & Xbox One. Plus, when you consider that Marvel has been referencing the MvC games a lot lately in their cartoons & comics, as well as giving the MvC Universe its own official Earth classification (Earth-30847), it's clear that Marvel is open to the possibility of another MvC game. However, if Capcom were to renew anytime soon (given that they have the funds), it would lack any X-Men or Fantastic Four characters. So no Wolverine, Deadpool, Storm, Magneto, Sentinel, X-23, Phoenix, Doctor Doom, or Super-Skrull. This is because of a blood feud between Marvel Studios & 20th Century Fox. It isn't a matter of Marvel not being able to use those characters in games, it's that Marvel doesn't want to. Though in the wake of the failure of Fant4stic, the movie rights may revert to Marvel Studios in the near future. Ugh. People can argue that the other Marvel games are busted all day, but I enjoy watching every other one. Watching Marvel 3 is honestly just upsetting. I stopped watching the Evo finals after 5 minutes because of all the goddamn Doom and Strange loops. Is that what people really wanted to see? How the fuck is a game where every single team has a Doom, Morrigan or Vergil exciting? Why were the 100% total death combos never fixed? How did this game end up more busted than Marvel 2?

Not too much, but I did go back, and yeah, that game ain't perfect either. There was never fewer than 2 Storms and 2 Sentinels on screen, and that can be boring to watch for some people. But it's not really the same shit. 80% damage combos at least required 3+ meters. You were allowed to press the wrong button every once in a while. Also, the infinites in that game were much harder to do from what I can tell, and didn't even come into play with Storm and Sentinel as far as I could tell.

Speaking on this game in particular because I've seen low ranks manage to win matches against the better player in games like Killer Instinct, MKX and SF4. I strictly main Gouki, Wolverine, Zero and purposely rid myself of X-factor at the beginning of every match I play. It isn't smart, especially in Ranked Matches but I enjoy fighting without need for the easy comeback mechanic. It's also great when I face others who choose to pop their X-factor after they see me get rid of mine. Doesn't happen often at all and I lose a lot thanks to how stubborn I am but when I do, I choose Dos Equis.

the reason i never had any interest in mvc3: every single match is decided by the first person to catch their opponent in an infinite. i can barely muster up hype for this game at EVO and other events, and even then it's not at all because of the game which has an incredibly small pool of viable characters, it's just me rooting for Justin Wong or whoever and then watching other simultaneous streams when (whoever i want to win) isn't playing.

even max goes out of his way to describe 3 as the worst in the collection, and that only 3 suffers from 1 hit deaths, in all other mvc games it is vastly more difficult to get a 1 hit kill, and even when you DO the matches don't take half an hour to finish out the 1 hit kill AAAAANDD he says that in 3 it takes a very low skill cap to 1 hit kill where as in all the others it is much more difficult requiring vastly higher player skill. it's not just me, and everyone else in the world who all agree with me except you, it's Max, and he would know more than you or I.

You should use cr.M, Crystal, and Hysteric more often. Also, raw acid rains in neutral fullscreen are actually godlike vs some characters. Also, don't neglect devil trigger and air flight plinking with both Dante AND Doom.
