I just rerolled Wyll to 5 Warlock with 7 Eldricht Knight. 22 CHA with the hat. 7 Eldricht Knight gets a bonus attack after cantrip, which can be nice with Eldricht Blast, not the biggest deal, but can be nice. Taking advanege of Ring of Arcane Synergy for the +6 damage. Also using Quickspell Gloves, so I can Eldricht Blast for bonus action then dump all the attacks with action surge and arcane synergy up.

You can do 6 actions in "only" 1 Turn (still good just not every turn will have 6 attacks). After that you used up the action surge from fighter and are down to 3 attacks per turn, which is still good.

@@P4wnyhof to be clear, the person is saying this bc u said "six attacks per turn" which is untrue in full context. Because you need Action Surge, you only really get 6 attacks for 1 between rests.

That's basically what i'm doing rn, but i went a different route with the levels: 1st level - Fighter (Any weapon, heavy armor, con proficiency for the concentration spells) 2nd to 6th level - Warlock (PotB, EB, friends, fire ball, counter spell, deepened pact extra attack, feat, etc) 7th to 11th level - Fighter (BM subclass, manouvers, extra attack, 3 feats) 12th level - War Domain Cleric (Cleric charges for another attack as Bonus action)

if you want to use heavy armor just take the first level in fighter instead of warlock i think it's clearly more efficient than taking feat lv4 fighter and will carry you more the early game ofc adapt the statistics, you will loose arcana specialisation and will get athletism instead but you can change that as you want, and lv 1 you have already light, medium and heavy armor and late game heavy armor is clearly better than medium if you know where the good one is Lv 5 you respec full warlock for the second attack and lv 6 you respec again take fighter 1 and continue the build with warlock with goosd statistic this time the end of the build why not with paladin for smite but why don't take war clearic, 1 more attack on bonus action that mean 7 attacks per turn on each first turn and at this point you clearly deal more damage with 1 more attach than a 1d6 each attack at least i don't have information about the third attack works cause of pact with weapon it's nice ty for that

Larian has already confirmed that the extra attack from pact of the blade is not intended to work with extra attacks from other classes and will be patched out at some point.

The most optimized build i run is 5 lock, 6 champion, 1 war domain cleric with all feats that increase 2h dmg. You get 4 attacks almost every turn with high chance of getting a critical strike and without using haste or action surge.

I did this but can't figure out how to use the war domain charges. I click on them and an empty box appears with nothing to choose. Nothing in passives or anywhere else. What am I missing?

You can always respec to have fighter or paladin for the heavy prof.

A build kinda like this i enjoyed was 2 pal/5 warlock/5 sorcerer. Pal for smite, warlock for the pact of blade and short rest spell slots and sorcerer for more spell slots and replenishing them with sorc points.

how come when people are going to start multiclassing into a martial class they don't just respec and start as that martial class for the proficiencies in heavy armor and such then multiclass back into the caster class?

I can do you one better. 2 levels of Cleric War domain + 2 levels of Fighter Champion + 3 levels of Monk Open Hand + 5 levels of Warlock Great Old One. You'll need Tavern Brawler as your one feat. All your attacks will be open hand or Monk weapons. First round of combat: Flury of Blows (x2 attacks) Cost 1 Ki point + 1 free open hand (kick) attack -> free cleric melee attack costing 1 cleric point -> Actions Surge = Rinse Repeat = 8 attacks in one round!

Through some research people found that monks can do up to 12 hit combo in a turn (haste considered) with help of Thief Rogue's free bonus action. I tried doing some math for damage, can link it here

Tavern brawler only works with unarmed attacks so if you using a weapon it's a waste. Better go with monk/thief/war for 8 attacks all which benefits from the feat and from items that adds DMG and from monk's manifestations

You lose smite but keep the spell levels and get more skills. 5 blade lock / 6 swords Bard. Range push from lock melee push from bard. Last level you could dip storm sorc for BA flight and con saves, fighter for con and armor, war or light cleric.

Is it worth taking great old one if i want to go for some cc rolls on those big bois in a 1v1 or is that a bust vs dark ones blessing? I kinda like the idea of melting them and robbing their turn while doing it so my party can focus on other things in battle.

So random hellish rebuke fun... so my whole group has warlock for devils sight/darkness opness but fun fact. I've had several miniboss/ boss encounters end bc they aoe my group and 4 hellish rebukes nuke then to nothing. Most recent example was the kidnapper act 2 (trying not to spoil). When I examined him I expected a fight. Nope his 1st turn dead.

Reminds me a lot of College of sword - Bard multi-attack build (bard 10 fighter 2, uses flourish attack to attack twice + extra weapon attack for an additional two + fighter bonus action for an additional two). Which one do you find better between the two builds - and why?

How would you defeat that commander inside the ship at the beginning of the game as a level 1 Warlock with the two companions (Fighter and Cleric) and still reach the controls in under 15 turns? Is that possible? I think that enemy has something like 150 HP.

Shadowheart has a spell called “command” you can equip her with before going into that battle. This will allow you to command the enemy to drop their weapon. Easiest way. If you want to fight, focus on healing the mind flayer.

not sure if it's the gate which is too aggressive or some kind of anti pop that filters out your consonants, but either way every time you sai a hard C like in Charisma the audio cuts out.

I've been looking for a "battlemage" type of build, a hybrid between being able to go full ham melee and casting offensive/buffs/heal spells if you'd like. Is this build wholly focused on doing 6 melee attacks or is it balanced enough for a hybrid playstyle?

How do you have 6 atk per turn when action surge can only be used once per short rest? Unless you are counting Mage Slayer and Greater weapon Master which are situational Warlock PoB = 1 normal atk + 1 extra atk, Fighter = 1 extra atk

Haste gives you an entire 3 extra attacks on top of that and is very easy to keep up

Yeah... It is much better to take 1 level fighter from the start, then 3 warlock, to get the pact of the blade... In that time you are only level 4, and you will do just fine even with strength 8 before level 4, because you can still use eldrich blast immediately from level 2, and you can tank for your group. You hit that level 2 in less than half an hour from start, so.... Pumping that AC to around 20 in the start, is huge. I also dont like burning hands, when playing coop. You just fry your allies that way. Hellish rebuke is much better in coop mode. Even in single player, where you have more control over the character positioning, you get often caught up in doorways and such, so using aoe in there is just bad idea, while rebuke works great, when they hit you in the doorways and other narrow places... Its like "more they hit you, the faster you kill them"

You’re better off starting as fighter get heavy armour proficiency. At level 2 multi class into warlock and respec your ability points and from there you can pretty much follow the guide from the video

@@TrollyMcGee You can get consistent 6 attacks per turn if you're hasted: (attack + extra attack + pact extra attack)*2. If you add action surge on top of that it gives you a one time turn with 9 attacks. Though on this setup you can't haste yourself so you'd need to have that covered by a party member (unless you go for warlock 5 paladin 5 fighter 2 which is really similar).

It also has a bagillion ways for you to get advantage on targets when youre meleeing. Status effects, Guiding Bolt, Sneak attacks, CCs, Faerie Fire, Compelled Duel (Or whatever the paladin vengeance oath has), there's a pair of gloves that gives you advantage if youre surrounded by 2 or more enemies on all your melee rolls. All effects that can either be applied by you or your casters to turn a 70% hit chance into a 99%. Abuse game mechanics or they will abuse you.
