The way he accelerates through his cuts reminds me of Arian Foster. This kid has had the benefit of one of the best O-Lines in College Football, but he is going to be a number 1 RB in the league for a while.

Great compilation. People are always saying Ball is only as good as the Badgers offensive line and that so many of his TD's come from the goalline.... well, for those people, watch this highlight reel. Yes you'll see goalline TD's, but look who got them there. Monte Ball will win the Heisman and if he doesn't it's because he's not an SEC running back. (Which should make him even more of a prospect in my opinion)

Montee ball is the biggest heisman snub of all time. The man has the most touchdowns ever recorded in NCAA history by any position player. Any player at Alabama close to the record would win the trophy twice.

Vicious stylistically and finishes runs particularly well. His offensive line was top class in college but his patience as a runner is evident in this video, which is an admirable trait in a back. My only concern would be the amount of wear and tear he exposed himself too in college with him carrying the rock 924 times at Wisconsin.

What I will miss about watching MB28 at Wisconsin is his feet. The guy has impeccable agility and he uses his feet so well. Watch more highlights from the 2012 season and you'll see it all starts with his feet. Great running back.

This should be the best recruiting video a team could put together for a prospective running back. Look kid, you get to run behind that O-Line and we'll give you the damn ball as much as you can handle it. It still amazes me we don't get more 4 and 5 star running backs. They would be in the record books playing for the Badgers just like Montee will along with Dayne and Ameche before him.

Montee seems to run a consistent speed, probably a 4.6 speed. This speed starts from the second he has the ball. Combine that with great vision, patience, and sturdy balance. I see Ball as a Matt Forte type back in the pros.

Richardson garnered 950yds and averaged 3.6 ypc as an NFL RB and another 360 as a receiver with 12 total TDs. Stevan Ridley who was a 3rd round pick and has to contend with Vereen, Woodhead, and Bolden, amassed close to 1300 rushing yards and 12 TDs at 4.4ypc. Ingram has close to 1100yds over 2 years averaging 3.9ypc with 10 TDs. What this means is that the OL at Bama made them stars. I don't see Yeldon doing great in the future either. Lacy does impress me though.

@xthenewdenial I think you still don't understand that with Barry's bowl game he had 44 TD on the season. Despite the strange rule change to allow TD's to count in bowl games now, that doesn't change the fact that a record is not being broken other than people oddly saying it is. Barry had more TD's than Montee in the reg season and including the bowl (unless Montee pulls off 6 Rose Bowl TD's). Just because someone tells a blind man the sky is green, it doesn't make it true.

That was missed Tackling Nebraska Had that problem all year. Against Michigan, Washington, Ohio State, and Wisconsin of Course. This Is a Nebraska fan here I Understand that Montee Ball had a great season running the football. However I give more than a third of those touchdowns to the offensive line. Expect for him to have maybe 20 or 25 total touchdowns next year. Honestly without the offensive line that is bigger than the green bay packers, he wont have as much success. 3 of Wisconsins offensive Line was drafted in the 2012 draft. yeah, they're O-lines are pretty similar but as of now the big ten's front sevens are jokes, from what I've seen so are their secondaries, the competition is much lower in the big ten. Wisconsin's O-line is amazing. Wisconsin has arguably the best blocking receivers in the country(if not it's texas). Not to mention their blocking scheme is genius, those are components that make his conference cake week in and week out

I haven't look at the stats, but I'm 99% sure Barry Sanders also had over 200 or more carries on the season than Montee did as well. Barry was their whole team.

@xthenewdenial I really don't see what is so hard to understand about Barry having more TD's than Montee unless he reaches 44 by Rose Bowl's end. No record is being broken. That'd be like saying the '72 Dolphins undefeated season isn't valid anymore because they now play sixteen games in a season. If you are above the age of three you should be able to come to the conclusion on your own that no matter what the NCAA or ESPN says, Barry's stats are in the books and legit.

he looks plenty fast, 4.4 at least and you don't need a ton of speed to play as an NFL back. It's more receiving/blocking skills that get you to the top. Please Steelers, We haven't had a decent back since pre-injury Willie Parker.
