We’re building 2 Econolines just like this for our Bonneville team! Give it hell at the 100, we’ll be watching.. and we’re gonna give it a shot next year with some sleds that aren’t quite ready yet!

@@wheelhousegarage Absolutey man! Camping in the Van is awesome! Don’t camp in an oak grove in the fall though. Denton SC last fall acorns the size of golf balls falling on the roof……. All night long………..Good Lord!

Still have my OG Wheelhouse long sleeve from the garage in Livermore, CA. I should have kept those 4 triumph motors, I keep finding triumph parts bikes here in Oklahoma.

Looking good! I will suggest an insulated hose from the heater to the van because on a cold night there will be a huge temperature loss in even that short length of hose. Looking forward to the Biltwell 100.

Great idea! I think that is wise. Thanks for the comment.

To me, that rack looks as good as any $2000 rack on the market. If the vintage motorcycle thing ever dries up you could probably make a good living selling your Wheelhouse roof racks. I broke my first push-rod yesterday while out riding an oil-in-frame Triumph T140 I picked up in a partial trade. Now I know what that sounds and feels like. (Every breakdown is a learning opportunity.) It was an exhaust valve push-rod that snapped in half, so all the pressure that would normally get pushed out the header pipe was being forced out through the intake valve and the carb. I don't think any other damage was done, but I won't know for sure until I take the rocker boxes off and get in there. Still not sure what caused it to break... I guess it just happens sometimes. I remembered Jared Weems having a bike at the Biltwell 100 last year that he called "the push-rod breaker" cause it kept breaking push-rods.

Thank you for your kind words Dave! I thought about selling the crossbars - powdercoated and ready to go. I like them because they look less "contractor" than some of the other ones I've seen for the E-Series vans. I figured it's best to test the whole system before offering them, but I did have that same thought.😁 Sorry to hear about your motor! It's bound to happen at some point if you play with these old bikes enough. Glad you're out riding!

Neat van, well set up. Even better now with your "quick" mods. I can see even more tuning in it's future. Can't wait to see how the race goes. Good luck!

Love the channel man! I’m glad I found it! I just wanted to let you know that the audio from the camera you used in the intro, when using headphones, only outputs on one side. Not sure if you know that but just wanted to make you aware.

Interesting, would like to see more about it. Though for me, as all tracks I go to has electricity, it's easier and cheaper.

You need a carbon monoxides detector if running that heater once diesel heaters plug with carbon, carbon monoxide will be going out that pipe into van. Many cheap heaters tend to carbon up.

Does the roof rack create a lot of wind noise?
@wheelhousegarage10 ай бұрын
Great question Tyler! I’m sure it’s going to add some wind noise but not quite sure how much. I’ll also have it loaded with gearbags. I’ll try to remember to report back after the trip 👍
