They just realised they couldn't dance because it isn't in their programming, the new rules of warfare forced them to reset to factory setting until they could all receive upgrades to combat the recently introduced battle tactics. When the Droid commander got destroyed they couldn't recieve the proper counter measures, they became obsolete and went into hibernation mode.

Personal theory: The Chad Clone’s ultimate move was so nonsensical, so unpredictable, and so cringe. That the battle droids could not process this information properly and needed their local command unit (clanker with yellow stripes) to resolve the issue. The chad clone knew this and shot the commander before it could relay to its troops, forcing the entire battalion to send thousands of individual reports to their command center (the big ship). So many paradoxes of logic being uploaded to the system at once caused a complete system failure, which then led to a chain reaction that crippled the entire droid army. In addition, this chain reaction eventually made its way to Palpatine’s personal computer, causing it to malfunction and release all classified documents in the file labeled “The Tragedy of Darth Plageus the Wise”. Leading to the republic learning of his treason and revoking him of all political power, including his ability to execute orders.
