So , being impressed with your workbench video, I decided to purchase the plans. However, when I tried to utilize them for my own bench, I noticed various dimensions and info were absent. Specifically relating to the miter saw flip-top. the 3/4" Side support appears to be different from the photos. It balso appears that the miter saw is set up no blockig to avoid hitting the 3/4" pipe. And the centerline location of the pipe, down from the top isn't immediately obvious. These seem critica, and I didn't want to waste material trying to figure it out. Please offer some advise.

This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble kzbin.infoUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

I never leave a comment, but this need to get more respect than I can give. Truly amazing. One question: did you plan this from the beginning or was it plan in progress?
@neotericdiy87172 жыл бұрын
Thank you.. I had the design done ahead but as I started to build, I kept finding more underutilized spaces and panels like the vacuum hose bin area, or the infeed/outfeed/cross cut sled that were to be just cladding panels at first. The table saw leg was an add on out of necessity. I had to redo the lift system as the bench became too heavy for the 2x4 elements and changed those to steel tubing. Arduino DC collection coding was a lot more cumbersome than I thought and the servos were a bit finnicky at first.
