Statistically mining on chunk boundaries has no effect. The distribution is the same no matter where you are and you could just as easily make the same justification for mining in the middle of chunks since all four corners of a chunk has around the same ammount of debris. Basically chunks have no impact on the rarity of ancient debris.

I agree with this completely ,also there's something to be said about being able to look into two chunks at the same time rolling the dice twice that the ancient debris will spawn at the coords where you are digging . but im terrible at math and may be completely wrong.
