Ok I hear y’all on the amount of concealer I apply… but since my sponge soaks up product I have to over apply to get it to be the right amount once it’s blended out 😂 I feel like I can’t quit the sponge with concealer blending but… lmk if you have any tips & I’ll listen lol

I'll give you my routine as it might help. FYI: I have very deeply set and dark under eyes. 1) Use corrector (cinema secret 5 in one corrector is a great investment) . Only use a tiny bit in the inner corner to cover the darkness (beware this product has a lot of coverage). This step will tremendously reduce the amount of concealer needed after 2) Always let the concealer "sit" for a bit before blending (this will help you get more coverage out if it and use less). Usually I do my brows in the meantime. 3. blend it with the new real technique concealer sponge which is really amazing (yes the small yellow one). Using the blender DRY gives better results. Then finish the rest of make up. By that time the concealer will have creased a bit so blend it again where it creased before setting with powder. I have plenty of expensive powders but my favorite under the eyes is the essence 16h powder foundation-shade 3 is a good brightening shade for light medium skin tone). Hope this help ❤❤

Powder puff…I know it sounds weird but it was a GAME CHANGER! When I started doing it! It blends out my concealers so smooth and such a beautiful look! There were concealers I didn’t even like that I went back and tried with a powder puff after I started using it, and I actually really liked them! It’s crazy! I just take the puff and kind of wrap the tip around my finger and then pat to blend it out. Gives great coverage with a small amount (I don’t need to apply extra because I lose coverage) and it blends out super smooth!

You did a great job with so many concealers. I honestly think the reason you may have the same issue with so many of these new concealers is that you are applying so much! I think if you feel you have a dark under eyes issue, you would be better off applying a corrector first, then the concealer. Bobbi Brown has a beautiful corrector. I am 72 years old, and NARS, Christian Dior, Kosas Lancôme, all work fine. I sometimes have issues with the choices of color, but with the corrector I use half of what you use and I use a brush first to tap in, then maybe the Elf sponge for concealers…. So soft and has a pointed tip. Thanks for all of your effort to turn out such a great video.🥰

Agreed. As an older lady 52 with a light complexion I agree! Less product. Color correctors are key as adding more concealer doesn't fix the shade issue. I love pixi's corrector and NYX has one both are a salmon color to combat blue/darkness under the eye.

I haven’t met a concealer yet that doesn’t crease. Ever. The best technique I’ve found is using it very sparingly. I blend it in with a brush or my finger. Then I set it very lightly with powder. I’m almost 55 and using that technique with all concealers gives me the best results. 💛

Try the Surratt Concealer!! I was mind blown when I tried it; I really don’t think it creases and I don’t need to set it. The Haus Labs had extremely minimal creasing for me. Third best is the TF stick concealer.

I'm 38 and actually love the Natasha Denona concealer. It barely creases at all if I use only 2 dots but if I apply more than that it settles into my lines. I also like it best when I powder under my eyes. If you hadn't given it away then I'd recommend trying it again and use much less product. I've heard great reviews on the Tower 28 concealer so that's be one I want to try. At this point I can't make myself use any other concealer than the ND.

Also, I don't have dark under eye circles but I do have under eye bags, so it might be better for dark circles, I hope that helps you make a decision. I also noticed it's on sale right now for $16 so maybe worth a try?

I absolutely love the Natasha Denona concealer, it wears beautifully and I think it’s so much better than Nars, Make up Forever, Dior, Kaja and pretty much any concealer ive ever tried. Doesnt crease on me, but the key is to not apply so much. I literally apply the smallest amount and it covers and works amazingly, so maybe try applying way less. Less is more with this one. Anyways, it’s a hg for me ❤️

I have to say even though I’m 44, I don’t have too much creasing with concealers bc I don’t apply too much! I’m also a makeup artist and it feels like perhaps you are putting too much of the concealer on? I love the tower 28 one and considered getting the makeup forever HD one and heard the haus labs one was just okay but now I’m curious to see how I might like it over the MUFE one! I still like my Pat McGrath concealer. Haus Labs’ reviews are so here and there, so nah. Just a small amount of concealer is needed - I think it’s very possible that if too much is put on, it will crease.

I totally agree with you on the tower28 and natasha denona. Tower28 is hydrating but makes my undereye look saggy and wrinkly but in a "I have wrinkles naturally" way. Its so weird how it looks like my undereyes but worst. It doesn't look makeup-y like ND Hyglam but it looks bad after hour 4. Natasha denona is so full coverage and smooth but it settles into micro line right below my lash line(pat mcgrath did the same) it reminds me of hourglass Vanish where it's super thin but it wears bad and looks like I have too much makeup on. It looks too done up for everyday and looks dry by the end of the day. JOAH eye serum concealer beats all these and all highend I've tried. My other favs are Nars Radiant Creamy and Mac Prolongwear(hate the pump) I always go back to these 3

The Haus Labs one is just okay to me 🫤 Mine are similar to what you described but I also have moderately dry skin. What’s worked best for my deep set eyes/thin skin/dark circles are Armani Luminous Silk Concealer, and the Hourglass Vanish Concealer!

For Natasha Denona, you need to wear light moisturizer under the eye- but then add a gripping primer. I let it sit for a couple minutes & blend out the edges with the rare beauty concealer brush (angled) spritzed with setting spray & it stays on all day. I feel like it shouldn't be powdered... I use setting spray on a damp sponge. I've had creases under my eyes all my life, and switching to setting spray over powder is a gamechanger on my combo/dry skin. The setting spray I love is anything by CoverFX, they're alcohol free & non drying

I'm not the biggest fan of the Kulfi, I also found it settled, but I was shocked how heavy you loaded it up around your eyes. I can't see any concealer performing well when its applied so heavily. Thanks for this review though,very helpful video

I would consider a corrector first, then use a brush and finally a sponge if you want to blend it out further. The sponge is taking a lot of the product off and the lack of corrector will make concealers look a little 'grey' if you have a lot of undereye color to cover.

Use a color corrector and when u first apply don’t do it so close to ur eye. Place it lower, give it a min to dry then lightly blend moving the concealer up towards ur eye. I love using the rare beauty concealer brush or a DRY Beauty Blender. I will only tap where I originally put the concealer and after I do that a few times I will start blending out up towards the eye and out. Fading the product. I’ve recently learned to also use light pressure when blending out. I place the concealer where I need it most(for me it’s where my deep hollow line is under my eye). It’s building up in the creases bc ur putting the bulk of it right where ur going to crease. Do less concealer as well and build lightly. Im sure if u try these techniques half of the concealers would look so much better for you ❤

Hi Abbey! Thank you for this video. I struggle badly with my undereye area - it's super dry, sensitive, and discolored due to allergies. I also have Dennie-Morgan lines, permanent creases that form in childhood due to eczema and allergies. Concealer creasing is almost always a guarantee as the lines are deep, and there's nothing I can do to smooth them out. Moreover, I have a difficult time finding a moisturizer/eye cream that meshes well with concealer. A super hydrating under-eye product is a necessity for me, but those usually make my concealer separate and look terrible. Hoping one of the concealers in this video can help me out.

super late to the reply but i also have super dry under eyes where even hydrating concealers tend to crack up and the only concealer i’ve found doesn’t do that is the kulfi one! it’s not the highest coverage out there but it wears really well and doesn’t crease or dry out on me. i find that people with normal or oily skin don’t like it because it doesn’t dry down fully on them and fades, but with really dry skin i find this quality helps it stay fresh and not get cracked and gross. personally it does a way better job than other hydrating concealers like kosas, tower 28 and nars. hope this is a little helpful!

I bought the Kulfi one months ago, based on the recommendation of a KZbinr who is about my age (late 50’s) and lives in the same climate. I was disappointed, as it did crease and break up and not wear well. I was leaning toward the Tower 28 one lately, as several beauty influencers in their 40’s love it, but their skin is not nearly as dry as mine. I definitely need something that will hold up well in high humidity, and powder makes me look 100 years old around the eyes. It sounds like I might prefer the Haus labs concealer. that's disappointing as I'm 55 and love the Kulfi concealer so much. I think I like it because the shade match is spot on and it tends to cover my dark circles better than most. I wanted to try the Tower 28 but the sample I tried at sephora looked dry under my eyes. The struggle is real!!

Have you tried Hourglass’ Vanish Concealer? I have pretty dry skin and that works amazing for me when I’m back in my home state (very humid). If I’m in dry climates, or just really dry that day, I use Armani Luminous Silk ☺️
