Cool comparision! I did 2 air videos as well, one just showing my built in setup and the other was racing a maxi trac vs an amazon dual compressor vs my built in single compressor. The dual compressor blows them out of the water, it would probably beat the arb twin or be close, It would not beat a belt drive OBA or a powertank but still a ton of bang for the buck. After I build my belt drive system I want to do a bigger test like this. side note when im using alot of shop air I sometimes plumb my jeep compressors into the system and run them to help my crappy 21 gal shop air stay full haha

Belt driven systems are awesome. U used to have a York on an old rig. I'll probably make this video again and next time have a more planned out experiment and hopefully some more options too.

Bro, I'm so thankful for just a even kill, non competition comparison. There are always pros and cons and you laid it out nicely without trying to push anything...thanks!

If you plan on doing this again, i have the hobofreight Pittsburgh 150psi 12v portable, a vehicle mounted ARB single 150psi 12v, as well as the tool box portable ARB single 150psi 12v.

I'll remember that! Thanks

Duty cycle is normally based on 15 minute increments. So a 66% duty cycle would be run for 10 minutes and then off to cool down for 5 minutes, then back running for 10 minutes and then a 5 minute break, etc. Not 40 minutes straight and then a 20 minute break.

I didn't do a great job on that part. I went off the top of my head which was a mistake!

Arb twin is also available in a portable pack if you want it
@FortuneOffRoad Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I've seen that! Seems like a cool idea. Although at That point you could probably find a much cheaper and more powerful portable.
@pauldavies4650 Жыл бұрын
@FortuneOffRoad I 100% agree with you on finding a cheaper portable. I'm just not so sure you would find a more powerful and portable (together) option. But cool vid and the perfect conclusion 👌

After using an ARB twin in a buddy’s rig to fill a completely flat 35” tire in like a minute and a half I knew I had to have one. Great video dude

I'm looking forward to the ease of use. Not that the air tank has been a pain, but this new setup should be easier! Thanks man!

Man been enjoying you channel for a while now. Your Sami build inspired me to buy my own. Would love to see a walk around of this yellow Sami.

Great video. Fun and informative. I have the portable AllTop single and love it. It works great for me. I will most likely be making some mods to it, but its great.

Thanks! I know a few people that have that one and they all seem happy with it.

I wonder why we don't get to hear how loud each system is while compressor runs...?

Video equipment issues. That's a good one though, we could've compared that too

Rigid is lifetime warrenty, took me less than 10 seconds to figure how to use it, Rigid has a whole bunch of tools that take the same batteries like heater, fan, stereo, all power tools, chainsaws, and sooo much more.

Speed wise, with 4 you can air up 4 tires faster than anything else. That's pretty cool

If I do this shootout again. We have to find a way to capture all of that. I think multipurpose was the wrong title... maybe "x factor"?

great video! after your ARB twin install video i've been waiting for this one. Eventually I'll do onboard air but in the meantime i love my shittybilt 🤓 can't beat budget and lifetime warranty, also i love the coupler diy he did!! definitely going to steal that idea until i can afford onboard

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe you can turn your smittybilt into a mounted setup like Paul did on his Samurai.
