@@FoodandFootprints You're most welcome! And thanks for the Nutmeg recommendation! Will load it down as soon as I get to Penang! 😂👍🏻 Melaka, always a good spot to have authentic Nyonya Food! Unbelievable. You guys are real hard core foodies. Moh Teng Pheow is such a hidden local gem which Malaysians outside Penang have not heard of & you guys dug it out. I have been there & love their food. And I can't believe that you guys can take in Ali Nasi Lemak without a sweat. I find the sambal quite spicy. And lastly a white guy eating putu mayong ( it's putu mayam btw) with bare hand, that made my day. So glad to see you guys enjoying the foodie central of Malaysia, that is Penang.

Adjuster Chia Thank you so much! Did a lot of research on where to eat in Penang and Moh Teng Pheow sounded like a great spot to try as we are kuih lovers, especially with all the history. @@FoodandFootprints wow, one month in Penang. You need to show us part 2 of your Penang food adventure. Haha. Did you guys go to Kuala Terengganu, Melaka, Ipoh or Taiping? Lots of great food there too. For great local Malaysian coffee, the southern part of the Peninsular, i.e. Johor has some of the best. Towns like Muar & Kluang have good coffee as they have their own coffee producers.

Adjuster Chia We have 3 other Penang food videos with one more on the way! We went to Kuala Terengganu and Ipoh and have a few videos from each there too. Melaka and Taiping are on our list to check out eventually. Thanks for the suggestions on Johor. We are big coffee fans.
@adjusterchiaful

@@FoodandFootprints For Taiping, you got to go to Antong Coffee Mill where they roast the coffee beans using charcoal ovens. They provide free coffee samples too and even have durian flavoured coffee. Haha. As for Muar in Johor, you need to go to Sai Kee 434 coffee shop, my personal favourite. In Kluang, Johor, there's Television Brand Coffer Factory. Enjoy your cuppa. I am a coffee lover too. Cheers.

Gotta love those colorful kuih! The nutmeg is actually a juice, but bet it would be good mixed with tea. The teh halia (ginger tea) is amazing! Never had ginger tea with milk before Malaysia and it is a genius combo. Figured we would do something a little different this time and show how you can get quality food for a low price. Had fun putting this one together! As a food lover, Penang (and Malaysia as a whole) should be at the top of your list. Thank you for your support! 😁

Keep coming back to your old video just to listen to your critic on food. The way you comment on the nutmeg juice is like a master perfumer explain on their perfumes; the top notch smells like fresh lime and apple, the heart notch smells spicy where cardamon mixed with ground black pepper and the base notch smell woody of amber, amboxen and oud. That is totally on different level guys. Hope you are coming back to Malaysia to join ken abroad and the jetlag. Stay safe Greg and Jumi and enjoy yourselves.

Thank Greg and Jumi for highlight all these affordable quality street food places. Luckily I was just about to have my simple dinner at home before watching. The char Kuey teow with duck eggs and 2 real prawns for Rm 5.30 ..I really respect this hawker , I do not think I can get char Kuey teow with this 2 ingredients in it for below Rm6,7,8,9 or 10 anywhere else in Malaysia. Simple Nasi Lemak wrapped in real banana leaf so fragrant. The fresh nutmeg juice I had never heard of so definate must try if I get to go Penang, so too the lo bak, putu mayan ,pasembor ,nyonya kuih outlets recommended by both of you...I love good pulut tai tai with kaya and seri muka esp those made with generous pure natural ingredienrs in making it.. Cendol in a bowl with generous red beans, gula Melaka, pure santan, pandan flavour ..that's all it takes for a wonderful serving.. The reasonable price of rojak by the seaside ..simple joy in life..Pasembor is same as Indian Rojak I believe, another childhood food. As for the popiah its also my favourite food but I prefer with no sauce over the outer wrappings and also for the fillings I miss those with minced meat, chopped prawns and cuttlefish added into the sengkuang and cooked together until it becomes rich and flavourful . Jumi looks fabulous with pleated pony tail and hat. Nice T shirt from Queens, Greg. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all this wonderful tips

We always learn something new from your video 👍🏻 Indonesia also has it, we call it “Putu Mayang”, only 1 letter difference with Malaysian one 😄 Our putu mayang is more like a wet version, the banjir version haha We dont use shredded coconut, but we use coconut milk sauce mixed with palm sugar, similar taste like the liquid in cendol 🤤👍🏻 so good Now we have to find the Malaysian putu mayong to try it, I am sure it tastes equally delicious 🤤
