Great point Scott. My instructor tells me learn slow and then play my way. I’m really trying to play more articulate.

"That low B sounded like a truck horn!" Hahahahahaa! It did sound like a truck horn. This was a great video. There are all things that I need to put a lot of work into. You touched on it briefly but, I think a video on how to use tempo rubato (robbed time) effectively would be a big help.

I recently worked on "Levitating" by Dua Lipa (adding it to a medley that I put together). I learned the melody by listening to a sax cover, but was able to play it much better (especially rhythmically) after listening to the original with the lyrics.

Hey Rob! That's a great tune and a perfect example of having to change the rhythm up a bit so that it makes more sense. When you are playing a cover of a pop vocal tune, often times there are a lot of repeated notes, so you have to use dynamics, articulations and some creative rhythms to really make it sing on the sax.

Greetings Scott. As some someone who follows your channel, I have a serious question. Recently, I've been attempting to learn "Latin Saxophone" style, e.g.: Paquito D'Rivera, Gato Barbiere, Ed Calle,...etc. Do you have any lessons on where to begin on Latin saxophone? There is no-one out here I can find teaching this. Latin saxophone,I believe to me helps me develop good rhythm learning, but the rhythm is tricky. Plus, I love Latin funk, salsa, and Latin smooth jazz.
