Nice one man! I'm interested to see how that Gopro mic adapter works. The reviews are pretty mixed. It sounds like a lot of people get hissing noises or no audio.
@WoodysGamertag6 жыл бұрын
I get cracking and popping with that kind of adapter. Maybe the GoPro 7 has it worked out? Or maybe Kyle will figure out the magic list of components that work together.
@kyleoglee6 жыл бұрын
Thanks T! Sofar it's worked well. I may have lucked out with the mic adaptor, time will tell. I had the first glitch yesterday with the hero 7. I lost some footage (hilarious acro commentary footage aimed at huneycutt), but I think it had to do with the phone connection. Wireless control of the camera with the app is a really nice feature I've never had.

Could you post an inventory list with everything you used in the video?
@AnthonyVella6 жыл бұрын
I think the mic term you're thinking of is "peaking". There are occasionally times that you can save the audio by putting a "limiter" on the audio file in post. I like the sound that comes out of the SENA bluetooth setup, but I too want to find a way to record some real clean audio. You mentioned near the start of your video keeping the hookups available so that you can still use your aviation radio. There is one aviation radio that was designed to connect to the SENA via bluetooth. Food for thought! I'd get it if I didn't live in the middle of freakin nowhere! I really like the strobes man! Those are sick. I will look into getting those.
@kyleoglee6 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. I've seriously been faking the funk a bit when it comes to video production. I'm self taught, shhhh. I was aware of some of the sena options, but I already had everything for my handheld from my airplane days. Like you, if I used it at all, I maybe would look into options. The strobes are handy for sure, especially this time of the year when after sunset may be my only option.

Hi Kyle. Bought 2 Fire tech strobes. Very nice units. Are you concerned about attaching them to your helmet with Velcro and relying on the strength of the dust shield film? How about cutting the film off and sticking the Velcro right on the strobe itself? Thanks

What’s the battery life on that 7? I have an old session that I can fly for two hours and it won’t shut off. Let makes me wonder though because I don’t want to have to have a second battery for a normal hour and a half flight. Also interested to see if that flashes going to obstruct the camera at all as far is distorting the picture??
@wiley07146 жыл бұрын
It's interesting but I would have just put a piece of foam over the Mike's and rub some hot glue on the other side, outside from mouth, to stop wind from blowing in. If you have the Sena which is Bluetooth why didn't you just connected to the Bluetooth on the camera?

What's that thing that looks like a visor, but that can't be a visor because it doesn't have hinges, it is not transparent, there is a huge slot in the middle and the srew at the top wouldn't allow it to move down?
@kyleoglee6 жыл бұрын
raphael beinhauer it's the visor shield. The visor hangs out underneath it.

@@kyleoglee Oh, yeah that makes sense now that I look at it again. I was only familiar with helmet visors like a motorcycle helmet would have, and then internal or external visors on climbing helmets like the Stihl Dynamic Light or the Kask Super Plasma.
