Last match the other team was playing a 2-3 zone (which leaves a lot of space outside bc they didn't went to cover a shot in all the game) and me, as a PF, was forced to take threes and pull ups, i end up 0/6 from 3PT. I still did a great game and my team won by a lot but now i wanna improv that aspect and this video is amazing

Coach P any tips about confidence when you’re in a game? Everyone knows i’m a good shooter but i’m always doubt myself when i get the ball and hesitate any tips?
@theyluvdavid242 Жыл бұрын
I know I’m not coach P but, To be honest play more games you know your a good shooter so if you see the opportunity shoot the rock and always focus on making the next shoot when you miss (cause we ALL do) and remember even the NBA guys miss shots too! Like you said everyone knows you’re a good shooter so now you gotta show yourself just how good you are and believe in YOU. The only way to do that is by playing a lot of games and taking shoots, reps are good too but they don’t translate to real games so if that what you’re doing also STOP. Putting up reps to translate for confidence in REAL games is NOT the same and doesn’t do anything for you (besides maybe keep you warm) You have to play a lot of ball 1s, 2v2, *5v5 especially* and take every opportunity you get and shoot the ball You miss 100% the shots you don’t make and that is what kills confidence also.

Legally you can use NBA clips if you transform the content, getting a 4 second clip of a pulling and slowing it down/pausing it to make 1-minute worth of content is valid.

Hey I know I’m not the coach but I know how that feels especially if you can’t afford it, just try your best with what you have and make no excuses. Make a schedule for yourself and push yourself to the absolute max. That will help you succeed, and you can eventually tryout for your school teams

Shouldn't you jump higher on pull ups?? Genuine question
@colebesonen88098 ай бұрын
Right. His shots aren't bad, nice from and everything but still kind of shooting while he's jumping. I always thought a true jump shot was elevating straight up and at the highest point of elevation then releasing the ball, the point being to get above the defender. Somebody called Devin Booker's shot "old school" because he elevates then shoots. It's just a genuine jump shot, not old school. Anything else is not a real jumpshot

@romaelgibson97511 ай бұрын
I’m not here to hate but all this talk and he didn’t even do the damn thing. A pull up jump shot is off the run not off a cross over or a couple steps. It’s a lot harder when changing your momentum from a sprint to a dead stop and pull up. There are a few other things I noticed wrong with his game but I’m not a coach. 😉 Also this video was mad confusing. Just do the damn thing.
